So I've stolen a few tracks from a friend who was hosting them on MediaFire, and added them into my iTunes library, but they don't have an artist name or album name. Is there a way I can add an album/artist name to these songs?
EDIT: I've used right click > Get Info to add it to some, but for two of them the boxes to change the details are greyed out and uneditable, is there an easy way to sort this out?
Thanks in advance.

You're asking advice on how to help you name stolen tracks in iTunes?

Nothing wrong with that I guess.

Seeing as you didn't list where he got them, I can't really make a call if this is piracy or not. Where did your friend get the albums? If he got them from iTunes or some digital distributor, chances are they would have the basic song/album information in the MP3 tags.
Maybe stolen cast the wrong light over the rest of the request...
His band recorded the songs and put them up, nothing illegal going on here. I thought MediaFire was pretty strict on piracy anyway?
I know there are programs out there for editing the tags with your own information though, such as track number or album etc.

I hope this helps!
Sadly, I'm too paranoid about viruses etc. to trust nearly any third party software, so that's only helping in the vaguest sense possible, but it's probably the best anyone can do.

I've used this one for tag editing before. Should work for you.

Thanks, that helped a lot, and thanks to everyone else for their advice.
