I have a point don't worry, I'm very open minded but the thing is I bought Rage Against The Machine's first album years and years ago, I have found it has ruined all music where any form of rock is present, nothing seems to top its energy.
So the question is: Have any of you ever had this strange experience, where an album just eclipises so much music under its pure fucking awesomeness?

Yes, I have.
Led Zeppelin 1, 2, and 3.
They are my greatest albums ever.

Daft Punk Alive.

Every single track - if you can even call them that, they're mixed into each other seamlessly - is pure awesome. I didn't even know that was possible.

Not really.
With movies it'll get that way though.
Now I'm just waiting for another movie to skull fuck my mind, because I've been watching a lot of good classics lately and now I'm just biased against a great many of today's films.
The bad ones, anyway.

Metallica - Master of Puppets. Right down the the album cover, it's incredible.

Fun note: I wore a Master of Puppets shirt to the Remembrance Day assembly in grade 11. I got dirty looks for having a shirt covered in crosses. Totally worth it.

These albums never, ever get old.

Their first album and De Stijl by White Stripes. No matter what music I start listening to, I find myself listening to White Stripes.

That Soundgarden ripped apart grunge, why they were never bigger than Nirvana I'll never know :(

Lights - The Listening.
Nightwish - Dark Passion Play.
I really like every single song on both of these albums.

Well I have to say Srgt. Peppers Lonley Hearts Club Band, Abbey Road, Please Please Me, Rubber Soul, The Beatles (AKA The White Album), Let It Be, The Dark Side Of The Moon, and The Wall. I think that is about it.

NeoTokyo - Ed Harrison

Now possibly the dozenth time I've mentioned this album on the Escapist, but frankly I won't stop until I have everyone listening to it. It's pure beauty, mixing electronic with eastern influences, creating this chillingly haunting and stunning album. Yeah, it's made for a game, but frankly I learnt of that after. It's just astounding.

Oxygene and Equinoxe by Jean-Michel Jarre

No electronic music has ever stood up to those two masterpieces since, even later things Jarre himself has done (though he has recaptured that brilliance in bits and pieces from time to time).
