I actually admire you being able to say that honestly, and I wish I was joking about that comment (mine I mean) but that was said by people who hate drink and won't say anything against their friends, the ones that drink every day of the week. It's people that don't drink then say alcohol is bad that piss me off, I used to drink more than I should (I've cut back a lot since a few of my older friends fell away from me because of it =/)
And I agree totally with you, it's not really worth it in the long run, it can give you more confidence at times but most often I see people end up worse for wear when they drink, and it puts me off it a bit more.
