You know what movie this reminds me of? The Odd Life of Timothy Green. And that ain't a good thing.

*Goes to look at the Odd Life of Timothy Green trailer*

Okay, after seeing it again, I will admit there are some slight similarities between these two movies.

I know this movie is going to be grade A awful, but I can't help but I get to see over privileged generic people get the shit beat out of them by life and I'm curious. If it ends with them going life sucks and they have to deal with, with nothing fixed then I'll still think it's so bad it's good, if it ends with a deus ex machina that sets their lives back in order with no changes then it'll be bad. I'm not a movie buff but I'm just too dang curious to see this obviously awful movie.

I... don't know how I feel about this trailer... On one hand, I can tell they're taking EXTRA liberties with the source material, I think, and it doesn't look too terrible, horrible, "not good", and/or very bad... kinda... (It's been a while since I've heard, let alone read this book...) On the other hand, it's a live-action now-Disney movie based on a very short children's book, so take that as you will...

Still, I feel like there could be another book and/or series that probably needs a movie adaptation more than this book, at least...

And for heavens' sakes, why do you apparently want movies of every kids book that ever existed, minus ten books from A Series Of Unfortunate Events (ie. the only kids book adaptations I'd pay full price to see)?
Seriously, the cast in that one (and only) movie felt down-right perfect, in my opinion... Why did it not get more movies? Was it because of the thirteenth book not being out beforehand or something [more] stupid than that??

It ended up in developmental hell, and then the cast got too old. ;___;

It's really weird to think that Sunny's actresses are now eleven years old...

The article title is quite telling of the trailer? This can't end well.

Damn... That sounds EVEN worse than what I thought had happened...

Now I feel like re-watching my DVD copy of the movie again... (and probably re-read the books again...)

*sighs* What could have been...

They just gave away the whole movie in the trailer...

Blame it on Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. It was successful, so execs with absolutely no analytical prowess translated it as "Movie versions of ALL THE KID'S BOOKS!"

You know... kinda like what they do when anything is successful.

"Let's go, Wreck-it-Ralph".
Really? Reallllly? Never seen a trailer being so desperate to ensure us it's new and hip.
