It's dumb though cause it's Apple stuff only so I can't play it, how fucking stupid do you have to be to do that?

I find it fascinating that, in the comments for an article about a free application that's provides a code that gives a 10% discount to a AAA title with next to no effort (and said code has already been posted in the comments for all to use anyway) people still have a need to needlessly complain about it as if it's a personal attack engineered to offend them and them alone.

This is a good deal, but I noticed that Amazon is selling it for under 50 bucks. If the price stays that way until next month, I may try preordering, or make my purcahse there. Still, I'll be downloading the app anyways.

Nice deal, but I'd rather get the 360 version.

By the way, is that free, included HD Alice remake confirmed?

Oh there's a catch alright.

You have to get the game from the EA store.

You ever tried getting that shit to work?

$10 off for free if you own an iPhone. Wouldn't be such a big deal if more and more promotions weren't starting to go in this direction. For either Apple or Facebook. I mean, it's bad enough that we have console/platform exclusives to divide us, but now we have carrier/phone exclusives too? Quite frankly the $10 off deal doesn't piss me off quite as much as missing out on the content in the app itself. Especially since I loved the first game, as a PC exclusive lest I remind, and want to see the story progress. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to play this app as a flash game on my PC.

Promotions done right don't exclude people. I mean, that's counter-intuitive to the idea of promoting your product, after all.
I can certainly see your point. I'd like to play through this app myself - why don't EA release an Android version?

While we are at it, how dare those douchebags at superbrothers releasing Swords & Sworcery as an Iphone and Ipad exclusively? Too hip to make a flash version of it?
But why stop there? I want all those Console exclusive titles to be available on PC. I'm damn well entitled to that.
I know, right? Boohoo.

Firstly: The thing that's really hypocritical, is that if an Apple user came on here and whined that all games should work on Mac OSX and how dare developers release games exclusively for Windows or consoles, they'd be laughed at endlessly. I'm imagining it'd be be something along the lines of "Well, you should've bought a PC instead of being a hipster douchebag.", or something similar. But if something, and I do mean just about anything, comes out as an Apple exclusive, you pitch a fit.

Secondly: This was not made by EA, it was made by Spicy Horse; EA merely published it. If you look at what that studio has been doing other than the Alice sequel, you'd see that they've largely been making iOS apps. So, seeing as they already probably have a buttload of iOS programmers in-house, it makes sense that they'd go that way for a minor promotion.

Thirdly: It will be out in Canada and Europe, just in a few more days. I poked around the site and it's implied that this will actually come out for more than just iOS devices.

Fourthly: The above posters are right, it'll be cheaper on Amazon anyway.

and lastly, if you're still upset about this and want to burn EA to the ground, you should run out to your local drug store and pick up a bottle of this:
Man, I'm really not trying to get all ad hominem on some of you guys but, wow, talk about entitlement issues. If I had an iPhone/Pad and I mentioned to you that I thought that it'd be nice if something would be released for iOS, what would your reply honestly be? Food for thought.

Well can't get it in Canada.
But that's to be expected our government, and CRTC are trying to erect a iron curtain. Or in our case a wooden curtain.
"We be taking steps backwards, oh ya. Raising the iron curtain, oh ya. Blocking the internet, oh ya. Fuck the Canadians, oh ya. Cause we taking steps backwards, oh ya."(Sing to the tune of a working song)
I can't wait for this game to come out, the first one is so good.

I would love to participate. Too bad I have an Android phone, like so, so, so many other people.
