I figured it was about time I started a new thread, and so what better way to begin than to start a fun one? Yep, just a bit of fun in the Off-topic section. Get those imaginations on standby! Here's the premise.

So, we humans finally discover a planet that might be suitable for us and we send an expedition to this mysterious world. However, once we've landed we notice something is not quite as we thought it would be and the planet already has residents.

So, my question is, what would you think they would be like?

My immediate thoughts are that the travellers would discover an ecosystem with creatures they were really pushed to describe, not being able to classify anything properly. If the creatures discovered were as intelligent as us, I expect that their technology might be equally as confusing.
