All meat diet, any questions? anyone else who shares this with me ?

I have constantly had a debatable diet, I eat no Fruit or Vegetables. When I see I eat none, I mean typically the closest I would come to is potato based products, stuff made out of wheat,the odd thinly sliced onion that comes in Mcdonalds cheeseburgers and other things that come as less than a percent addition to a meal.

But with the exception of the odd dare, I havent eaten a whole portion of any fruit or Veg for at least 16 years now.( I wouldnt even be able to confidently say I have 5 a year in total)

I would like to know if anyone else has a similar diet, I'm curious as I have got a dreaded meet up with a dietitian coming, been blackmailed to go so I thought Id get my defenses going before.

But Interesting to me is that allot of life choices (big and small) are driven by this diet. My belief in ethics, life after death all the way down to social situations and how I budget. So I would love to have some questions about anything that takes your curiosity, vegetarians welcome :)

No. All meat diets make you lethargic and stanky. I love meat, i eat it maybe once a day, sometimes more. But i eat other things too that arent starchy messes. Just accept your diet is wank and just not care. It's how i've gone on for the past 18 years.

eating nothing but meat is not heathy.
humans were never meant to live on meat alone.
I have seen too many episodes of supersize vs superskinny
oh god so much meat! and really gross meat too.
I am not the person to tell people how to live their lives but if it is destructive and can become life threatening then I feel I need to at least say something.

Its all about moderation and equalization of the food groups. You are missing much of important elements your body needs to maintain top functionality.

This was very painful to say, I would love to eat a porterhouse every damn day. Medium-rare, marinated, but good marinated none of that A1 shit.

Human beings are omnivores, not carnivores. We need a diverse selection of foods to operate at optimal efficiency. Plants provide many important nutrients that are hard to come by (if not absent entirely) in meat. They also help to keep things moving down there, if you know what I mean.
I'm talking about poop.
I like meat and all, but I couldn't bring myself to eat it almost exclusively. I'd miss my fruit and veggies too much.

Frankly, too much of anything, be it healthy or not healthy, can he hazardous to your health.

However, your body, your rules. Just be sure to keep your mind and body active, and to not go overboard on something that might make you sick.

Well the short version is, growing up and some of my earliest memories concerned me questioning eating animals for food when obviously people can get by without. Allot of cognitive dissonance comes from thinking your doing wrong but cant do right. Fast forward to my late teenage years and I developed the belief that all life has the same intrinsic value, however I started to mature with an understanding of evolution. From this I drew the conclusion that all life supports each other while competing at the same time, the only appropriate action to take is to consider that it is natural to eat living things but understand that in turn you must support them as much as possible.

Oh it doesnt, my diet comes from not being able to handle the taste and texture of 2 main food groups , my point is that I seem to have constructed a world view that allows me to have my cake and eat it but cant think of a reason why Im wrong (keep in mind ive tried to keep it short)

I will put my hand up and say, I get one bowl movement a day and to put it lightly, its a really crap experience ...

Eating no vegetables or fruit means you are sorely lacking in many of the nutrition factors you require to lead a healthy lifestyle. I used to eat almost no fruit or vegetables except when going to a restaurant, purely because it was inconvenient for me to pick them up at the grocery store, and I thought I was okay. My diet was bread, cheese, and meat, and sometimes perogies. Then I started eating fruit and vegetables daily, and literally everything about my quality of life improved. Everything. I had more energy, my workouts were more effective, I got better sleep, my bowel movements were better, I was more able to focus... everything about me that could get better from a dietary change, got better.

I'm not going to tell you how to regulate your diet. But I will tell you that when I moved away from a no-fruit/veg diet to one that was more balanced, it was a significant improvement all around.

i'd say i have about as close as a human can healthily GET to a meat-centralized diet. i have meat with nearly every meal and the most of it. and i don't go out of my way to add/remove fruits and veggies... i'm still exceptionally healthy, rarely am sick (average of 2 YEARS in between getting even SLIGHTLY sick) as fit as i've ever been, and i'm actually UNDERweight (but that'll happen no matter WHAT i eat... seriously i've TRIED to gain weight almost every way that didn't require a doctors visit... best luck i had was when i ate about TWICE as much Meat and ingested a good TEN times as much protein during a high-activity period (essentially my older brother was giving me a 3 month-long mock boot-camp...)

Im sort of at the turning point, hence that Ive received marching orders for a dietitian My health at the moment is on the surface ok. I can work 12 hour shifts lifting crates all day and dont seem to have a problem, however I cant ever seem to put on weight. I eat allot but I just cant ever break past 8 and a half stone. Did you ever have that problem, your diet by the sounds was similar to mine back in the day?

Purely meat isn't really good for you...

Not even carnivores eat purely meat. A vital part of a carnivore's diet are the half-digested remains in their prey's stomachs.

Weight regulation is based on calories in vs. calories out. If you want to gain weight, consume more calories than your body goes through. Depending on your lifestyle and your metabolism, this can get really, really expensive. I work out regularly and eat five meals a day, and I struggle to reach over 170lbs (I'm 6'3), so I can definitely relate to your pain.

The other thing to keep in mind is that your body can only process protein so quickly - usually something like 30g/meal, but it varies by person. If you eat too much protein, whatever doesn't get put towards muscle development or maintenance gets turned into gas. The way to gain weight is to eat more carbs, not more meat.

I just posted asking about weight with this kind of a diet, Ive also found I havent been ill properly for years. I havent actually taken a real day of illness in close to a decade. The weight is the same thing for myself. Im 5ft 4 21 years old , muscular but go between 7 stone to 8 and half on a regular bases.
