Yup, mine was a project I think. I ended up sleeping through most of my classes the next day >_>
But I got like a B, and there was a prize for the best project which I won. So it was worth it I guess xD
I usually stay up all night anyways these days, but I pass out in the mornings D:

I stayed up all night to work on a paper just a few nights ago. I was writing a six page research paper comparing and contrasting Stephen Nathanson and Ernst van dne Haag's views on capital punishment. It was the most mind-numbing experience I've had to undergo in a very long time.
once. I didn't get any sleep that night. T'was fun.
It was a major exam paper and you had the entire year to write it. I spent the first semester trying to decide what to write about. and the laste semester just making stuff up. still, I got a B+ ; )

I once went three days without sleep while playing video games.......

School wise...once, and it was for my accounting term project back in college. Was up to about 4, after being up since 6 that previous morning, in the morning finishing waiting for one the people in my project group to send me the last few sections of our project before I printed it off. Then try to get some sleep before I class in which I had to hand the project in at 8, and then try to stay up for lecture at 12 about my final exam for another class.
work wise more often than I would like, the only difference I'm doing actual physical work and slept enough before I went in.

I've done it so many times. Once, I did two all-nighters in a row. I finished my day and I slept 16 hours.
I did it a few times in High School.
Generally not worth it, I'd get distracted and waste the whole night anyways without doing more then 1-2 hours of progress on said report or project and getting no sleep whatsoever really sucks.
And I've done some serious recreational all-nighters, too.
Really, it's better off to do your shit in advance (that's the advice I rarely follow, by the way <_<).
The only good thing about all nighters for me is that it awakes my creativity as a writer. I tend to write very good essays when I'm on the verge of falling asleep, and get funky story ideas as well.
