For anyone who is excited about the re-release of APB:R (Sometimes I get the impression that I'm the only one who is), The closed Beta testing has now begun! I received an email from Gamersfirst this morning, telling me that my application was accepted, and that I can start playing as soon as the game has finished installing.

This is great news, because this shows that APB:R is getting close to being finished.

Personally, I'm eager to see just quite what has been changed. Personally hoping that the vehicle controls have been upgraded, and that the missions have got more to do in them rather than "Run from point A to point B and then hold down your E key for 15 seconds, and then run away"

Well, at any given rate, Gamersfirst already announced that they plan to have the full game released by the start of summer this year, so lets see just quite what they have to offer us.

I just hope that they haven't managed to make the game worse.

What month does summer officially start? I need to mark it in Big Red Letters on my calendar.

Is it planned to be f2p? APB was a much crappier version of GTA when I played it in beta, so they'll need to do a lot of work to make it stand out.
Yes, I think it will be free to play, the only reason, beside character creation, for me to check it out.

I'm pretty sure that APB was beyond salvageable, but good luck anyway.

Apparently there was some really good character appearance customization hidden in there somewhere. I never found it.
