Running
Code:
ps aux
with a couple of relevant pipes shows that there are about 150 processes started during boot up. Do you really want me to list them all?

I shut off all files that run when I start up the computer, except the essentials (Microsoft applications).

So, uh, pretty much nothing.

Steam, MSN, AVG. That's it. Maybe I should kick Steam and MSN out. I never use either anyway.

I've disabled all the applications that started up with my computer, and I've yet to regret doing so. In fact I even went into MSconfig and disabled all the non essential services too, and since my computer is extremely old and underpowered, the performance gain is very noticeable.

ESET, PeerBlock, IDM. Anything else I'm content to run manually when I need it, since I don't want my startup to take ages.

Just Firefox. Though I really should switch my internet browser but the first thing that always pops up on my computer is which ever browser I am using.

RazerNagaSysTray.exe ?

That's it. I used to have Steam start for no reason but after seeing how it sometimes took up 100k memory for no apparent reason, offline it went.

What? Why would you do that? Do you never play any games?
