Well, as the title was very vague, I guess I owe an explanation, I recently have downloaded the SKATE 3 demo, having loved SKATE and SKATE 2, I figured SKATE 3 would be an orgasm sandwich, I was wrong.

Granted, they fixed and made better a lot of things (new tricks, ability to create online and single-player skate teams, and best of all, it's easier to break bones, no more falling off of a skyscraper unscathed!), but it just didn't feel like SKATE, it has a whole different atmosphere and a strange new lighting for the new city, it just didn't feel like the SKATE series I know and love. It was as if they were trying to blend Tony Hawk and SKATE together to create a weird franken-game-thing. I was pretty disappointed.

I guess the point is, what game is coming out, or has come out already, that you had high expectations for, but ultimately failed you?

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.

I'm loosing my hopes for it to be a good game daily. It had promise to be at least decent, but I can't see that too much now. I'll still play it but I can't see it being any better than OK.

LOTR:Conquest - It's Lord of The Rings, what could possibly go wrong? Everything apparently!

Silent Hill Homecoming - I never really had any sort of hope for this game. I knew it would be bad and boy was I right. Still dissapointing to be proven right though :(

Resident Evil 5 - RE:4 was good, different, but a good game none the less. RE:5 seemed to be more of the same but still ultimately failed to actually be worth anything at all.

Fable 2. It just didn't have the charm of the first one.
Agreed. It just didn't captivate me like the original Fable did. Similar to Eggsnham's SKATE dilema, it just didn't really feel like Fable anymore. Sad times.

Well, I can't think of any game that has failed me before it comes out, but the recent Aliens Versus Predator was a big disappointment. The original two were so very, very good, but this one is just by the numbers FPS boredom for the marine part, and boring stealth for the rest.

Still, it got me playing the second one again, so not a total loss.
I'll agree with that. Not all it was hyped up to be.

Looking back at my post, there seems to be an awful lot of dissapointment in my life!

Modern Warfare 2 was an incredible disappointment. Which kind of sucks, because I feel that if IW had ran a beta for the game, they could've tweaked things and it would have been better.
Halo Wars, also, but it was more because RTS's on consoles are kind of terrible.

I've been pretty happy with the recent games that have come out. I'm waiting for Alpha Protocol right now, so I'm hoping it'll turn out well.

Red Faction: Guerrilla. I dunno if it really qualifies as a "bad" game, but it was really disappointing. You couldn't carry around more than 3 or so clips for your guns, given how useless some guns were you weren't given much flexibility on what you could take, ally AI was pants-on-head retarded, it was too easy to die, the driving controls SUCKED, and the objectives often asked too much, especially with retarded-ass friendly AI.
Worst of all, the game was EMPTY. Really, I wanted some big cities to go on a rampage through, make a skyscraper crash onto an objective, crash a plane through the top floor of a huge building and fight my way down, or smash my way down. I wanted to be able to do so much with the destruction engine, but the world was just so damned empty that you often didn't see much of this, which was a huge disappointment.
