This topic hasn't been covered for six months or so and there seems to have been a change in regulars since then.
So...
Two nights ago I was staying at a friends' house and had an allergic reaction to something, not quite sure what.
I'd never had a reaction to anything before, I'm 19, so I freaked out. My face was swollen and I was covered in red blotches, it was incredibly sexy to say the least.

What are you allergic to? Have you ever had any really bad experiences with allergies?

Nothing, hah!

I have a couple of friends who are allergic to cats, dogs, grass, and various fruits; but I myself have no allergies (I've been tested).

When I was younger I was staying at my cousins house and we all decided to go to the local park.
But it was mindblowingly hot on this day so instead of going on the playground I just layed down under the shade of one of the box tower things just enjoying the coolness of the sand under me. The sand went all over my body, like ALL over my body.

Later that night I was at home sleeping and I suddenly woke up nearly completely red and itchy as hell. I had to be rushed to the hospital because I was having a terrible alergic reaction to the dust mites in the sand that I was laying in, then for the next few days I had to apply cream to my whole body every couple of hours.

That was when I learned that I was alergic to dust mites.

I have grown out of it now though, thankfully.

I used to be allergic to peanuts but I grew out of it. I'm alleric to a weed called salvation jane and I suspect I'm allergic to grass and mosqitoe bites.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I'm also allergic to silver but it only effects me if it's been in my skin, like earings.

Everything - nuts, furred animals, some types of fruit, some types of berries, fucking dust and I'm sure something else I've forgotten.

Quite annoying, believe me.

I'm allergic to some types of pet dander or hair, mostly rodents. It's not that bad, I sneeze a lot and my eyes turn pink. My dogs are fine for my allergies.

Not allergic to anything. Well, I AM allergic to one thing that caused me to wake up one morning with tiny, itchy-as-fuck red bumps all over my fingers. No idea what, though.

My girlfriend is allergic to silver. Not touching it, but by it being inside her (like an earring). So I secretly think she's a werewolf. I've also never seen her under a full moon.

Coincidence? Or...something else?!

Dust mites. Only real allergy I have, although my hypochondriac mother would have me believe I'm allergic to most medications out there as well as half the fruits.

I just cleaned my room for the fist time in... well, I'm not quite sure, but anyway it kicked up years worth of dust and I spent most of the day sneezing and snotty and clogged and miserable. Nothing a good shower can't fix at any rate.

Spring used to be a fairly miserable time of year for me allergy-wise, I'd get sinus infections pretty much the same time every year. I seem to have grown out of that one though :D

Luckily I am born of a strong gene pool and have no serious allergies, only slight hay fever towards the end of summer.

Dogs, cats, horses, birch trees, mold and raw potatoes.

No idea why they tested for that last one. >_>

I have nothing, as far as I know. Haven't been tested, but I haven't gotten anything that would be considered an allergy reaction, I think.

I was allergic to something in Ambien, I had to take small doses to build up a tolerance at first. I have some seasonal allergies that set off my asthma once in a while, never bothered getting tested to see what causes it because it is very minor.
I am NOT allergic to poison ivy. I live on 10 acres of woods that is infested with poison ivy and I have never had it, I just don't have the allergy to it.

I'm allergic to just about anything that makes it's home in the air, at least in the Midwest anyway. On my most recent trip to Florida, I was amazed at how clear my sinuses were. I'm also allergic to Hazelnuts.

Oddly, I'm not allergic to poison ivy (I got some on me once and spent the whole day waiting for a reaction; nothing happened) or bug bites (though I used to be; I thought I stopped getting bitten by Mosquitos but it turned out I just wasn't reacting to them). Still allergic to Spider bites though.

I'm allergic to penicilin because I had to use it quite a lot over the years because of my ingrown toenails.

I didn't have a bad reaction to it though, I went a bit red.

Embarrassingly allergic to penicillin. Also the sauce in Big Macs at McDonalds, but only if it gets on my skin, like around my mouth. Some Lynx shower gels bring me out in a rash. Get super bad hay fever. That's all pretty few and far between though, all easily avoided

Hayfever, the bane of my life.

I once had to spend two hours waiting in A&E because I got a grass seed in my eye. ONE GRASS SEED. My eye looked like a bloodstreaked golfball. To top that off, by the time I actually got in to see the doctor it had mostly returned to normal.
