Allnighters on the Escapist

I hven't spent all night on the Escapist. But I have spent all night at a friend's house watching anime (got home at 7:00AM EST this morning. THAT Was a fun night)

OT: Yeah, sort of, I rarely close down 'scapist before 2AM, and when I do it's only to watch anime/guitah untill 4AM, and even then I might check 'scapist.

Yes, I do feel like a sad bastard for doing so, but I still don't care =)

Certainly. Not necessarily spending all night on The Escapist, but my sleeping rhythms are something incredible. And I use to excuse my allnighters by thinking they'll fix it, although they'll just mess it up even more.

I haven't stayed up for 24 hours with only the escapist for entertainment, but i have been awake and conscious for 72 hours before. (Spoiler warning: It was hell on the third day, i don't recommend it) but i generally go to sleep at ridiculous times. Between 4 and 5am is generally considered "normal" for me now, and i may or may not wake up before midday. Sometimes i only sleep for five hours, sometimes i sleep for ten hours, sometimes it's in between. I'm just a night person, i guess.

And being a heavy sleeper is nothing. Just some empty casings and sandviches between sheets. I once knew a pyro sleeper.

Unfortunately, I've been up late, which has made me not only more irritable that late, but also too tired to make a rational argument. I need to avoid threads that seem like they might annoy me late at night or in the morning before I've had coffee, or I'm likely to become "that guy," the internet fucktard who flames and talks out of his ass. I'm not proud of it, and I can't imagine how much worse I would be if I were to pull an all-nighter here.

There was one time I can think of where I felt justified later in my arguments, but I still felt like I could have been more civil about it, even though the other guy was being a complete ass as well.

I have trouble about this too at that time of the month. I have the PMS from Hell, you see...
I got my Neo from knowing to not click on certain types of threads and avoiding the forums all together some days.

Still, OP, does "All nigher on the Escapist" constitute IRC action? If so, then I'm guilty on so many charges.

I did last semester while doing a paper for argument and research (even though I was supposed to be writing a paper. I did in the end, but still, all I did was lurk around and do nothing. Did make some random posts.

I do it all the time. Like if I'm stuck in a ZP marathon or just a lot into the the community. Like if there's just a great thread I have to keep posting in or if I'm getting bombed with PMs.

I'll do it every once in a while, just looking through the threads, then I'll switch to a video game or a few episodes of anime then come back to the Escapist. I do surprising well when I skip a sleep cycle...
