What I do not get is why this GOW III media overhaul on GT. I got spoilered for Bioshock 2 about a certain connection, I almost got spoilered for Heavy Rain and now, they wanna do the same thing by revealing bosses and locations? Why exactly? I am a PS3 owner, do they think I am gonna pass on this or what? Does GT, along with Gamespot for that matter, have something against non-spoiler coverage? And what is it with the comments? Are people too dumb to realize that not all people purchase a game on its launch day? I got spoilered for B2 in the comments! I still consider it a personal feat that I managed to avoid Fallout 3 spoilers for an entire year to buy the GOTY edition.

So how about you guys? Have you ever been spoilered due to someone else's stupidity?

Now, if you will excuse me, I will stop by the nearest grocery for some lotus to help me with this Bioshock thing.

Spoilered?

No, I have self restrain.

Why not just avoid those topics? Its a much better solution then not letting anyone else discuss them.

No, because don't look for gameplay videos or anything, and overall, I don't care if I do get spoilered.

I saw Fight Club for the first time a couple months ago, and was shocked to find out who Tyler Durden really was. Then I reflected on how popular the movie is (especially online), how long it's been out, and how much time I spend on the internet, and I have no idea how it was never spoiled for me.

You just have to use common sense. If you know you're going to be interested in the plot of a game, just try to avoid things that might spoil it, like gameplay videos, articles that warn of spoilers, and achievement lists (specifically those of the secret variety). While I agree that developers should not spoil their own games, you just have to be careful.

I seek out spoilers - bless you Wikipedia - as I am a final page of the book sort. I realise it's weak of me, but my enjoyment comes from the journey to these points instead of pure mystery.

I don't mind. Except in some cases. I got really pissed off when my brother spoiled me the twist ending in kotor. Or when I bough the Fast and Furious box set and my friend spoiled every single movie. I just take revenge by seeing a movie before them and spoiling them back. xD

I have to ask, what is there in Bioshock 2 to spoil? I'm thinking over it and there really isn't a twist anywhere in there. Everything's pretty much explained from go and doesn't change.

The only game I've really tried to avoid spoilers for is Modern Warfare 2, which I managed until someone posted about:
Shepard's betrayal
outside spoiler tags. Fortunately I managed to forget the name mentioned so it was still a bit of a surprise to me.

Hahahah, the exact same thing happened to me, all my mates were raving on about it, quoting everything and i still didnt have the movie ruined for me.

I hate spoilers. I tend to only play through a single-player campaign once, so I make it count.

As for game changing decisions, I make sure it's MY experience with MY mistakes. ME2 is a prime example. I avoided ALL info on it. Luckily all my crew survived, but I don't re-load my saves. If any of them died, then that would've been my experience, whether it was heart-wrenching or not.

Yeh, I was aware of
some kind of betrayal
but I still didn't see it coming till it happened. Such a powerful/moving scene...

Wouldn't it be good to ban people who don't use spoiler tags?Or give everyone Tagging101 classes?

I'm pretty sick of seeing:
"Oh and then it turned out [sploier]The dude was zombee/spoiler]I thought that was pretty badass"

I was spoiled about Atlas being Fontaine while playing the original Bioshock, but that section of the game was so incredible that it didn't really matter.

I also was spoiled about your becoming a Big Daddy because of the achievement for it, although I saw it about a month before playing the game and because I didn't know much about the game then, I actually forgot it was going to happen.
