Once. I actually had to buy 3 tickets since they would have canceled the screening otherwise.
But WTF? You asked for a refund for being only one in the place? Stupidest thing i have heard during whole week. I hope you didn't get your refund.
Yeah, that's the best thing that can ever happen. Or are there actually people on Earth who like to have their view blocked by tall guys sitting in front and to listen to conversations and eating noises of strangers?

I always go to the movies alone, and the place I see them occasionally has the theatre empty. I don't get what the problem is though, it is the best way to see a movie.

Never been to the cinema by myself, so no.

I've been in a screening with not that many other people besides me and a mate, but I wouldn't go alone.

I went to see the magic roundabout on my own, I couldn't even convince my little brother to go with me so I could justify it as just going so he could see it. I was the only person in the room over 10 who wasn't escorting a small child.

I got some satisfaction though when some old lady muttered under her breath something implying I was a paedophile so i kicked upo a fuss about how I was the only one in the entire cinema of an age where I actually watched it as a kid.

I've never been to a film without a friend/family member, but there have been times when we've been pretty much the only people there, and it is fucking weird. :p

Once I was there with just my boyfriend and one other couple. It was a bit creepy but I liked it.

I've sort of done it, I was with a friend.
So me and him had the whole cinema screen to ourselves.
It was awesome.

I have been to the movies alone...quite alot since I go out to dinner with my parents to a Indian near the movies (right next to it) and they want to see a movie I dont want to see so I go watch it by my self. But your situation, indead it would be AWESOME...running around and choosing what seat to take (No Friday jokes PLEASE) and if you all alone with your girlfriend or partner...well we all know what to do.

If I had a certain girl next to me, that'd be awesome. It would be reminiscent of being an eccentric billionaire with enough money to make my own private movie theater.

Why did you go to the movies by yourself in the first place?
That's what I was thinking. I don't see much point in going by myself.

Have you ever went to the movie theaters and be the only person there watching the movie? I did once and asked for a refund because I was too weirded out being the only guy in the place. It felt really awkward being the only guy there.
I've done it, I don't feel awkward at all. Usually it's me and a couple friends, but I've watched a movie all alone before. I bought concessions even when I normally don't though. God knows they didn't make any money on the showing, I thought I had to give them something.

Alone? At the movies? I'd strip down and run around naked to my hearts content. Just to say I've done it.
Best. Idea. Ever.

OT: I've never had a cinema to myself, but I have been part of a small group that had the cinema to ourselves.

Also, I go to the cinema alone from time to time, no shame in it, I like films.

Cause he wanted to see a film and unlike a lot of people doesn't feel the need to have somebody with him at all times just to prove he has one or more friends? :p

There has to be some missing context here.

Why did you go to the movies by yourself in the first place?
whats wrong with going by yourself? :p

I do it all the time..in fact I prrefer it that way, I mean I do it to go see (experiece) a movie, not as s social event, I mean if Ive got no one to go with me then fuck it, I dont need somone to hold my hand

then I might stop by EB games....good times :)

anyway closest I guess is me brother sister and some family freinds many many years ago 2006 we were holidaying for a weekend in a small costal town out of season (rain rain lots of rain) there was a movie theatre there

I dont know about Pirates of the caribean:dead mans chest thre might have been a couple people there

but I think it was only us at "Click"

isnt that the point of going to the cinema? to see a movie? last time I checked you dont need somone to hold your hand for that

ok but seriously I guess some people see it as more a "thing to do with freinds" rather than being into the actual film

I mean even I guess you could argue that you might as well jsut get it on DVD in that case(cost about the same it seems)..but still if its a movie you REALLY want to see its somtimes worth it

I have.Once.

I went to see Jackass The Movie one sunday morning and I was the only one there. It didn't bother me at all.
Me and a mate went to see Down Periscope when we were younger and were the only ones there.
I have a mate though at work who goes on his own all the time and it doesn't bother him.
