I played the game and I think that I got the plot quite well, considering that I hate reading a lot of text. I liked the story, it was complex and twisted, even if it might be a little to cliché at times.

There was one thing that I did not get however:
The VCI and therefore Halbech mentioned along the lines, that they where also trying to achieve harsher anti-terror legislation.
At all other times, they are simply trying to destabelise the world.

Can someone explain what they would achieve by this?
I mean, they are trying to sell weapons a lot, how do the american anti-terror laws help with this?

Or, to add something of a discussion value maybe:
What did you think of the overall plot?
Did it interesst you or was it to black-and-white for your taste?

Also, please be gentle! This is my very first own thread ;-)

well terrorists tend to not give a fuck, nor really represent a specific country, so "supporting" a.k.a. selling to them would kind of screw halbech in the end because they would be the ones most likely to fire immediately and fire on halbech/america in the process (halbech is still a partiot to america, a kind of in between lines thing to the drive of the company)

but then again they also want to be able to supply the worlds weapons, so they get the profit and know what everyone else has, therefore to arm america even better in the process to be the better superpower.

this is a rough thinking of my understanding.

My guess would be that Standing armies and anti-terror forces spend more on weaponry and purchase larger items than terrorist groups.

E.g. An anti-terror unit is likely to buy some sort of armoured van or APC as well as firearms, armour etc where a terrorist group would just buy the weapons.

Hell, do many terrorists even use body armour?

They're trying to grab defense contracts with as many countries as possible. They do this by inciting terrorist activity and destabilizing the world. The richest nations turn their attention to fighting terrorism and subsequently, Halbech gets a contract with them. Sometimes they can just turn two countries against each other; for instance, whatever happens in Taipei, China and Taiwan will go to war, and Halbech gets contracts from both nations. It's the standard, "cause world chaos so everyone will buy our guns" scenario. Not the most innovative plotline around.

Hello Folks,

Yes, that certainly makes sense.
Thank you for explaining.

No, it really is not very innovative, and it is also pretty flawed.
I mean, activities like theirs are not going to bring about a cold war, more likely many hot ones, as in Taipei...
I do wonder what they would do with all the money if the world lies in ruins from world war three...
