Alpha Protocol: Human Revolution

I just wanted to know if anyone else noticed this...

So I picked up Alpha Protocol finally. I passed this game up so many times but, I have been seeing it a lot lately in forums dedicated to understated games of this past generation and such. I would guess that I'm 75% through, but I can't stand it anymore so I'm totally done, but I did notice something. It seems like the teams behind Deus Ex: Human Revolution borrowed heavily from this game's concept. I think Human Revolution was a much better game, but I don't think you can deny that the spirit of Alpha Protocol is there.

Sweet, I didn't know that, but I didn't really do any research either. Do you think they just had many of the same ideas and concepts, or do you think the teams behind Alpha Protocol borrowed from Deus Ex?

In what ways do you see the inspiration? Most of Human Revolution's gameplay is based around or inspired by the first Deus Ex, which in turn was an inspiration for pretty much every multiple path espionage game made since.

Yeah I have played both Deus Ex games, but Human Revolution is a more realized game. The similarities I find are in the control of conversations through attitude, granted AP has a more robust system for sure. The way you stealth through missions, yet have to fight boss battles with out options to stealth kill them, or knock them out, or even just strait sneak past them. The first Deus Ex had that same problem. So when people complained about it after HR was released it wasn't a shock for me. Just some things like that. I'm not saying anyone stole the idea or originated it but the two just have such a similar feel.
