And by d*cks I mean decks. For all the card gamers out there, what kind of deck do you use?

As a Yugioh player, I use an Ojama deck. Which means I use freaks like these:

The main combo of my deck revolves around getting out all three Ojama brothers at the same time, and using the spell Ojama Delta Hurricane to destroy all my opponent's cards at the same time. With cards like Ojamagic, Ojama Country, Ojama Blue, and Tri-Wight, it's actually not that hard to pull off. But barring that, I've got a bunch of other beaters in the deck to make it more immediately threatening, should the need arise.

I've got guys like Number 96: Dark Mist, Frozen Fitzgerald, Tragoedia, and Black Luster Soldier to help me beef up my ranks. It's a pretty successful deck, I've used it alot on Duel Network with pretty good success.

What about the rest of you?

You made me scare my wifes visiting friends for nothing.

I thought "surely something good will come of lobbing my man tackle out even if people are here" but no, no you left me hanging ..... literally.

Damnit, I thought you meant ducks! Well, looks like I'm going to be disappointed yet agin D=

OT: I actually don't play card games (used to play Pokemon back in primary school, like everyone did), I was just intrigued as to where the title was going, which I suppose was your point for choosing it =P

I play a bit of Magic here or there and I use a Kuldotha Rebirth deck.

It essentially revolves around getting as many dudes out as possible as fast as possible and beefing them all up with Battle Cry so that I can win by turn 3/4. :D

I'm a Magic player, though most of my M:tG friends live too far away to play regularly anymore.

My old-school fave was a blue-white deck designed as a kind of jack of all trades, master of none. Didn't matter what it went up against, it had SOMETHING in there for the occasion. Managed to go a year straight no losses with that baby.

My current fave is a blue-red deck. Heavy on the field manipulation, card draw, card returning, counterspelling, blow-you-upping. I just got a brand new Steam Vents yesterday when on a whim I got a Return to Ravnica booster... that sucker is getting slotted in ASAP.

Well since you speak of the former, I have a few decks that vary in stategies that I have come to improve over the years with newer and more effective cards.

1.) Junk Rush - My strongest deck that I began constructing since the introduction of Synchro Monsters. This deck specializes in Synchro Summoning by summoning monsters, altering levels, and utilizing Spell and Traps associated with Synchro monsters. It is largely Warrior based.

2.) Mechanical Wielder - The second strongest deck, as well my first deck that I have been changing and improving since I was introduced to Yu-Gi-Oh! in the early 2000s. Currently, it is a Special Summoning/Fusion Summoning deck, which calls for always storming the field with powerful monsters with ease. As the name suggests, it is comprised mostly of Machines, my favorite monster type.

3.) Dragon Alliance - The third strongest deck consists of being strictly a Power Deck, comprised of Dragons. I've got some tried and true cards in this deck; Blue-Eyes Ultimate, Red Eyes Darkness Metal, Five Headed Dragon, and some Hieractics for good measure. I used to have a Machine/Dragon Hybrid deck and then decided to split them into two separate decks to focus on the individual types.

4.) Zombie Apocalypse - This deck specialize in Life Point Destruction and Swarming by Zombies, with the aid of the Field Spell "Zombie World." Probably one of my more tactical decks, I've enjoyed using this when sheer force and summoning aren't enough. I started this deck during the GX series I continue to improve this deck by trying to make it leaner and more potent at shaving away the Life Points.

5.) Alien Invasion - This deck utilizes the "Alien" monsters, as well as other notable Reptiles, that utilize A-Counters to weaken monsters and inflict all sorts of effects triggered by certain Spells and Traps. I began this one also during the GX series and I just enjoyed using Aliens ever since.

6.) Future Struggle - This is newest deck that I have constructed and it is based on summoning both T.G. and Meklord monsters. I utilize the abilities of the T.G.s to Synchro Summon and destroying my own monsters to unleash the stronger Meklord Emperors. It's easily the weakest of all the decks I've constructed and I'm still trying to make it more effective without making it bulky.

unfortunately i was too cheap at the time, but i used to play the video game versions of yu gi oh like crazy, one of the decks i used to have the most fun with was my venom swamp, that thing murdered the opponent and i could just bulk up on defense and magic/trap cards like crazy, axe of despairing my venom monsters to kingdom come.

...Clearly, I came into this thread expecting something different. *zips pants back up*

OT: I usually just picked any Yu-Gi-Oh cards that I thought were good. No strategy, no special summons, just "Hey that monster does high damage. I want it!" and "Oh, my God, that spell card allows me to attack you directly, I need it!"

I remember when I used to play Yugioh in primary school there was this kid with a strong New Zealand accent and whenever he said 'deck' it sounded like he was clearly saying 'dick' so many laughs were had when he would say "let me see your deck" or "I brought my deck to school today" etc.

I haven't played in a long time but I always go for a Bakura-esque deck when I play the Yugioh video games, using Destiny Board and Dark Necrofear as well as other 'evil' cards. The 'zombie madness' and 'blaze of destruction' theme decks were what I played the most of the time when I was playing the game in real life.

In MTG i play a white black chalice of life/death deck which focuses on the dual sided card... chalice of life/death. When its on the life side it taps to gain me 1 life. When i have ten more life than i started with however it flips over and now taps for 5 damage on my opponent. Put four of them in the center of a quick and efficient life gain deck and piss off all your friends every single Friday.

And to think I thought I'd be excluded from this conversation :U

I play the wondrous game of Cardfight Vanguard (FINAL TUUUUUUUUURN!!!) which I will give brownie points to those that know it. I believe it was created by the same guy who made Yu-Gi-Oh and it's basically a more balanced version of that (with a completely different way to play)

I have a Narukami Deck (which is one of the two dragon decks) and it mostly deals with getting rid of the opponents rearguards either by attacking with brute force (ala Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion), Counterblasting (Thunderbreak Dragon), or making interceptors useless (Dragon Riders). I love it when I can get a Dragon Rider Shiden and a Dragon Rider Raien on the field if my opponent has two interceptors, because then I can use my DKV's counterblast 2nd and won't have to waste a stand trigger c:

The only CCG I play semi regularly is MtG, my current decks are woefully out of date, but are a White-Green lifegain-deck, and a straight Blue counter-deck.

I used to play MtG when I was in high school, nowadays I play only little. I used two main deck: a Black/Blue/White control centered around [mtg_card=Mistform Ultimus] and other Illusion creatures, the other one was Black/Red [mtg_card=Worldgorger Dragon] combo. It was pretty neat, and lot of fun to use them.

When I used to play Yu-gi-oh I had a water based teck with lots of defensive type monsters and stuff, and when I play MTG: DoTP I use the blue-black artifact-magic deck which I love. If I had people who actually played it I'd try and make a deck like it in real life, but alas.

Right now? I've got a terrible Black/White Exalted deck, an untested Green/White Populate deck, a hastily thrown together Green/Black Corpsejack Menace deck, and a curious (but untested) Red/Blue counterburn deck (because all the RtR boosters I've cracked since returning to Magic have decided to throw lots of Izzet cards at me.)

Been forever since I played MtG, but in Yugioh I've been running a Zombie World deck since the card came out. Pretty standard one, making heavy use of Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon and Bone Towers for milling and card theft. I also have an Infernity deck I use as my Troll Deck because while it's win% is pretty low, noone likes playing against a deck whose entire purpose is to leave both players with almost no cards to play.
