Alright, I *really* need help with a specific game.

The game in question is the glitch-ridden Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, which I rented for the 360 not knowing that the last part of the second-to-last level was FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE. I am, of course, referring to the part where you need to use the Force to rip a Star Destroyer out of the sky.

I apologize if this comes across as a little frustrated, but I have been attempting this over and over and OVER again using every possible strategy I can think of and am now seriously contemplating plotting bloody revenge against the LucasArts dev team. I also apologize if this is the wrong place to post such things, but I thought that this thread would be in the right place.

Anyway, the problem- what I keep doing is killing the TIEs with Force Lightning like I should be, and I run into no problems with that. It's the actual pulling down of the Star Destroyer that bugs me. I try to pull the SD left and up a little so the SD gets into the *absolutely exact and precise position needed* so Kota eventually says, 'Gooood, now rip it down!', and I start to do so. Never mind that 90% of the time, getting to that point is nearly impossible for me- by the time I've made miniscule progress with pulling it down, the TIEs come back and I have to dispatch them.

But by the time I do so, the SD is tilted ALL THE WAY towards the right and now I have to put it back into the exact right position AGAIN, wasting not a precious SECOND of time, and THEN pull it down a *little bit* until the TIEs come, and I have to repeat the process.

I just really, really need help with this, and I will give my soul, worldy possessions, and firstborn child to whomever is able to help me. Thank you for listening.

I didn't find it that hard. Just remember exactly what the position it needs to be like and follow that instead of the prompts. Also, every time you pull it down, even a little, it's irreversible.

Yeah, that part is the fail, even though it should be awesome.

What helped me was using force grab on Tie fighters and throwing them into each other, helps the job go by a lot faster, just gotta go over to one side or the other and wait for them to fly by then grab 'em and throw 'em.

Good luck, that part is a pain.

I didn't have trouble with this part, either. Although I did play it on the Wii, where it's just a cutscene, but still.

I'd say just keep trying. You'll get it eventually.

I'll try to remember what the position is the next time I get it, but what exactly does this position look like?

It should be pointing at SK's head, or around there.

I have to agree with you, that sequence is legendarily gay, and most of the following level is too. (Align the Pulsarium Rings? Fucking seriously? That's worse than the "Adamantine Doors" in Age of Mythology.) My advice in both is to simply be patient, and if the tie fighter / turbolasr beam shows up, just focus on not dying till they're gone. The rest of the game is solid gold, suffering through the Hanger of Death and the H.M.S. Fucking Stupid are relatively small prices to pay. Granted, they still shouldn't exist.
I honestly didn't find either of those sections that bad. Got both relatively quickly on my first attempts, though, so maybe thats why.
