Hello escapists. I out of my infinite curiosity am wondering: What is the last straw for you? what are the circumstances that are the point that actually will make you flip out/ throw up the fists/ burn offender's house down? or do you have the self control to always smile and walk away smoothly (this applies to both face to face interactions and Interblag, telephone, Morris code ect)

You will never know. (Because I give no indication of it before the 'fun' begins.)

Well, I wouldprobably try and defend myself is someone tried to stab me, but I am quite good at 'turning the other cheek' to verbal offenses and things which cannot ACTUALLY harm me. I obviously get pissed of at it but just because I get cranky doesn't mean people have to get hurt.

I can take anything, until I am patronised. Some random at a party was acting in a condescending manner, treating me like I was about 12, and it pissed me off, to my own great surprise, until I swore at her, and then she got all uppity about it, but that was better, because at least she responded to me like I was an adult, not just some little kid.

I don't know, it's only happened... twice. And not once for many years.
Last time I almost strangled one of my schoolfriends.

I tend to be fairly stable and calm in that respect, but I have one pet peeve that sends me over the edge (less so on the internet since I have time between seeing what someone says and my response, although I do get worked up enough for it to spill over occasionally): when people ignore any arguments against their position while repeating the same argument (or, in its extreme form, the same phrase verbatim) over and over. I mean, it's okay to disagree, but at least address reasonable arguments.

When someone does serious physical or mental harm to my twin sister or mother. Only guy in the house at the moment, so kinda feel it as my responsibility.

And tormenting animals, just for the fun of it.

good for you man, I tend to snap and hurt people's feelings heavily when they go too far verbally, haven't gotten pushed physically though except by my brother (shocker) and I'm not stupid enough to think that I can beat him in a fist fight.

You'd be surprised. I'm actually quite good friends with someone like that, although he's only really like that half the time. The other half, he just pulls out a complete non sequiter that's really only related to the topic at hand in his mind. I mean, occasionally, you can follow the logic, but it's just stupid. Like, we'll be having a conversation about RPGs (which he dislikes), I'll say I like, say, the choices in RPGs, he'll say he likes shotguns.

I am afraid to lash out because i am such an irate and heartless bastard when i've become angered. Last time i did, i left some1 in tears, they didnt show up to school for a week, and they required therapy.

I have a friend sort of similar but he instead just says the exact thing over again since he know's he lost and wants to seem comical near the end of the argument then says
"God dammit Willie why are you so stubborn/smart" and I say (and am)
"I'm not all that smart just well spoken".
[sup]Christ derailing my own thread [/sup]
I've only ever really freaked out at my brother though since somehow I make a reputation with my peers that removes all chance of someone actually putting up the dukes with me and vice versa

Insult me, or my family i wont care i will either laugh in your face, or agree cause honestly i hate myself and my family and your probably right to begin with, touch my friends or my guitar, and as i told the toughest kid at my old school when he punched my guitar "You touch my guitar one more time i will take it smash it over your skull and slit your throat with the fucking strings" haha. Considering i was known for never talking back and just sitting there and taking abuse he was surprised and left me alone for the rest of the year =]

that's how it's done!
in my school you'd get called to the office later on to get talked to about your anger problems

I did flip once, at the most annoying life form on this planet, a Kid who apparently is special needs but I guess his disability is not knowing when people want to stab him with a sharpened stick....................which I did when he didn't stop in art class, I just barely broke the skin on his arm and he went down like I shot him. Yes it sounds amoral but I can't properly express to you how annoying this kid is. I am a annoying person and I thought he was annoying, I swear to god he will be hospitalized by someone with less self control later on because he is such a ass

Do you?.

I hope it's with (her/his) consent or it might count as harassment.

OT: I guess I would lose my shit if something I had planned for, for a very long time, didn't come to fruition. That again depends on what I was planning on doing and how much of genuine effort I put into it.

For me it would be either this or being Patronized

If I see an animal that is in any way shape or form harmed by human hands, I will hulk out. I can't, physically can't, comprehend why someone would hurt an animal. My mind is not capable of processing this. I cry when the local Humane Society shows commercials, for pete's sake.

Every day has been the last straw for me recently, I'm just making shit to pull out now. I always assumed the last straw was pulled so...
