Altered Beast

So this game recently came to XBL, and I downloaded it immediately, and played it through (which, admittedly, didn't take long). I loved the concept and the gameplay as a kid, and still thought it was pretty cool as I spent my hard-earned Microsoft Points on it this week. I thought it was a no-brainer that this game was excellent, but I kept being told that it was awful by my friends.

My question: am I seeing it through nostalgia-tinted glasses, or is Altered Beast a decent game? Is there anyone else out there with love for this classic?

It's an okay game. It's fun, but occasionally frustrating, and the werebear form sucked assballs.

The weredragon was farkin' awesome, though, and I will brook no argument.

Altered Beast was awesome, and I cant think of ways its bad. Could have more stuff like moves and characters but its simplicity could be seen as a positive.

Havn't played the XBL version, whats changed?

Didn't get past the second level. It was alright, I can't say that I want to play it again any time soon.
