Alternate Endings

With any sort of fiction, some fans wonder what would happen if events had gone another way, to see something different from the cannon fiction.

So Esacpists, I ask you: What series would you like to see an alternate ending for

For me, I remember playing "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" for the original XBox. For the last level, it showed what would happen if Anakin had won the Mustafar duel with Obi-Wan

After the movie was over I kind of just wished they had ended it a tiny bit differently. Specifically, cut out the part where Blake wanders in to the cave and instead go for an Inception style ending.

Instead of just Alfred seeing Bruce in the cafe being all like "lol hey whats up," have it start out like his flashback from earlier in the movie where he's looking at the back of the man he hopes is Bruce, except this time when the man turns around it cuts to black halfway leaving you to wonder if Bruce survived or not.

Mass Effect 3

The god child's mother appears, takes him by the ear, and whaps him over the head. She then forces him to apologise, and the reapers go home. The mother bakes apology cookies for the entire galaxy.

If you want to talk alternate endings watch a movie named Clue starring Tim Curry and Christopher Llyod it has alternate endings out the kazoo.

On topic i would have loved to have seen alternate ending to Lost i don't know how or what you would do but yeah.
I would also love to see an alternate ending to The Matrix which basically says yeah the next two movies don't happen.

yeah, and bulletstorms ending is even worse when you think of how there may not be a sequel, because the game didnt do as expected.

That would have been the greatest ending of all time!
Or...you know. The Vault could have been an actual vault with all kinds of goodies. I wasn't asking for much - just a super weapon to destroy my enemies.

Queen had all that in the Vault, and all they're releasing are 5-6 song EPs with the remasters? Jesus, they're stingy.

More in general: The alternate ending for RotS makes me think about what would happen if there was an alternate ending to RotJ. One where either Luke died or was turned, completing the parallel to his father's fall. In the end, he'd get what he wished for...To be a Jedi, just like his father.

Or an alternate ending to Army of Two: The 40th Day that didn't come off as stupid. Your choices are kill your friend at the word of a madman, or doom a city.

Prometheus.

I know it was...to put it lightly a polarizing film but I liked it. I'll admit that it was a flawed film but not in some of the ways that a lot of people complained about.

I think the Alien series as a whole and by virtue of that, this film has had a recurrent theme of the dangers of agenda based science or policy. Where I think the ending of Prometheus fails is in their refusal to stick to their guns on that concept instead going for the "triumph of the human spirit/quest for knowledge" ending.

Personally I'd have rather the movie ended with the Prometheus being used to ground the escaping ship but keeping the remaining cast on board save for Meredith who is killed by the hugger in the medical escape pod. Her own hubris and lack of compassion finally doing her in.

Have the engineer mortally wounded in the crash and end the film with Elizabeth stuck in the ruined ship with all the answers to her ill advised quest laid out before her and David willing to help her access the information.

She gets her answers in a manner of speaking but is still ultimately punished for her lack of foresight.

Nope, coming from someone who has unfortunately played Bioshock 2 the first scene takes place before Bioshock 1 but then everything afterwards takes place in the late 1960's.
