Hello fellow Escapsits.
After stupidly stepping on my Hello Kitty headband earlier *sniff* instead of throwing it away, I smiply pulled off the ribbon and attatched it to a hair clip giving it "a funky new look" as magazines might say. I then stuck the plastic Hello Kitty head to my phone and it looks quite cute ^_^
When I grew out of a pair of jeans recently, I made them into a skirt and used the spare denim to make headbands and decorations for my other clothes.
I also made a skirt out of a dress that wouldn't fit me round the chest, and made a skirt and top into a dress for my friend.
At Christmas, my mum uses the left over food and makes them into burgers. I don't know how... or why, but they taste quite nice.

Anyway, I told you those... interseting stories because I want to know if anyone here does similiar? Do you reuse anything, if possible? Do you recycle, or reinvent?
If you don't remake your clothes, but had to creativity and paitence (you need a lot of paitence T.T) to do so, would you?
I hope I don't sound like I'm lecturing about recyling. I don't intend to, I'm just curous. When you don't recylce, God kills a kitten

My family donates clothes that are too big/too small to charity shops.
That or we take them to the reception center on the other side of the county.
We never throw them away.

Usually, leftover food gets fried up in the morning or fed to the dog, depending on how good it would taste fried.

We don't have just the one bin to put all the waste in. We have a compost bin, a recycling bin, a glass recycling bin, and a tin recycling bin.

My mum is very much against wastefulness.

I made parts of a stapler an elastic band and some paperclips into a makeshift crossbow that could shoot pencils during GCSE Physics. Out of boredom, though I admit that using your fingers to hold the elastic shoots better.

Heh, it looks like Cod killed a kitten, not God...

OT: I wish I could say I do something interesting like this, the most I do is give my old clothes to my sister :\

I try and reuse things, not that I'm much good at it. I try to be 'green' in other ways. Wastefulness is a pet hate - especially when it comes to food and energy...
