Am i missing something with the Ponies?

You know what would be nice, if we could get a pony thread that actually talked about the damn show instead of asking why almost every day.

How hard would that be? With the amount of people here that like it, why doesn't it exist?

Good question. This may be wishful thinking on my part, but perhaps there'd be less bickering if people were actually discussing the show itself rather than it's popularity.

We do not. At least not in free to air.

Neither FTA nor PayTV (Foxtel/Austar, Optus, TransACT) have MLP:FiM (hell, none of them have The Hub which is where Hasbro airs it, seeing as Hasbro basically OWNS The Hub If we had The Hub, we'd also be getting a LOT more Transformers besides Bayformers).

It's a show about ponies. Young adults and teenagers enjoy it because of a mix of pop culture and extreme "Cuteness" is involved while magical ponies run around the screen and do stupid stuff.

It works on the same rule of all animu. You always need some comic relief to yell out "UGUUUUUU" and do an overly stupid face that some people see as cute, in order to show that just because people are dismembering each other's limbs it's not all seriousness here.


That being said, I still find MLP and anime boring at best.

I find MLP funny. Ive never watched a single episode. But i am willing to take the title of bronie if the discussion comes up to it.

I think its the fact that while other people see something wrong with a grown man enjoying cartoons, i think its perfectly normal. I mean, at least its not some childish show like "The Real World" or "Real house wives". ((the entire show are people yelling at each other, excessively cursing, doing nothing of value for the human race.))

So im willing to enjoy MLP, just for the sake of there being nothing wrong with it.

Its not shown here in australia but i watched all the episodes on youtube and they're high quality videos too, so go watch a few and see if you like it or not then you'll know if your missing out on something or not.

Really? I mean, REALLY? That's quite an assertion there. And on a site as pro-pony as this one, too. I've accused people of trolling for less than that. I won't accuse you of it, though, because I learned long (read: about a month) ago that some people just refuse to accept that grown men can enjoy something cute and innocent.

But Pokemon's kind of a whole other deal, the reason Pokemon can stick around is the fact that we've got all the cards and the games and what not. MLP doesn't have that and I sincerely doubt that it will get one either. The only thing MLP has going for it that might give it hope for staying around long is just exactly what people have ended up as the fanbase.

So I suppose so long as they don't get a stroke or some other disease related to obesity MLP might just have a shot at staying around.
