Am I missing the April Fool's Day joke?

The worst April Fools "jokes" are when they make a website impossible to use/navigate.

It may as well just say "Hey don't give us hits today."

Unfortunately I have found it (the screen turning black) needlessly cumbersome too. I don't know if that was intentional.

Occasionally I'll see eyes on the top of the page that if I hover up to disappear. That's cool.

I've also seen a thread flipped upside down.

Just hit refresh to get it to likely go back to readable.

huh, I always just assumed he'd be banned on a Tuesday and the day would forever be known in Escapist lore after his name sake.

No more hits from me until this page is actually worth my time navigating. Having to refresh on a slow connection is just not my idea of funny.

Pranks are, well, there has been a few goods ones so far, but a lot of them are lazy or boring. The Escapist's general forum frakery is one of the shitty ones. Guess I'll just quit coming to the site today, cause the black screen shit and all that just makes it a pain to use the site.

Maybe next year they'll figure out something actually good. They have a year to think on it now.

I managed to catch a screenshot before he disappeared.

I saw him for like, a second or two. Time to experiment. I'm going to reload this page a few times and see if I can get any other random effects to happen. Edit: The entire page went black on me, and the text was red when highlighted. Is this and the Minion briefly showing up all they have?

Look, if you want to do something for April Fools, write a funny article. It would have been funny to see Yahtzee do a ZP where he lavishly praised a game instead of pounding on it. But you should not mess with how webpages are rendered by a man's browser, especially in such a hamfisted way.
