parents can be pricks sometimes, My dad was a dick to me sometimes when i lived at home, but him and I are very much a like. No physically, but mentally, we are both introverts and would rather spend time by ourselves than with others. Even though we are so much alike, i think he favors my lil brother though, its kinda obv, so he is a dick to me sometimes but not to him.

Hey guys, I need a second opinion.

My dad sees me as a failure and regulary calls me stupid and goes crazy at me at everything, but never physically hurts or abuses me but makes fun of me at every turn. I am at secondary school, the standard grades i'm working for are: Foundation maths, Credit english, Credit history, Credit Modern studies, general chemistry and credit graph comm. I'm not a super smart 14 year old but just an average one.

Back to the main matter, my dad makes fun of me shouts at me as if he wants to batter me and avoids me at every possibility.

It is only until there just now I have realised, I fucking hate that bastard. Using the information about me would you say I am right to hate him or am I just a whiny teenager. You may just think this is me exagerating it but i'm really not. Anyway voice your opinions.

Ahem, seriously, I'm harder on myself than anyone else so I can't relate too much. Aside from the Darth Sidious channeling, I suggest that you try your best not to actually hate him. Being angry is okay so long as you confront him about it, but hate is a state of being that's hard to break out of. It will seriously screw you up.

I think you have to find out if he knows he's doing it, and if he's trying to make you feel bad. He could just think taking the piss is a way of bonding.
