Amazing natural phenomena

Hiya escapists.

As I speak write an amazing sight is unfolding outside my kitchen window:
It's raining across the fjord and - because of the positioning of the clouds it would seem - the sun illuminates the rain, creating an amazing golden haze that partially obscures the mountains on the other side of the fjord. It's beautiful and I've never seen it happen before.

So, what kind of cool natural phenomenons have you witnessed?

Who knew radiated particles could be so gorgeous.

I once saw a full rainbow from end to end on the horizon. It was amazing. None of that half arc bs. Full arc.

It was awesome too because it was a sunny day, I was on a boat as it was sailing away from the rainbow and got to watch it for about 15 minutes while it slowly disappeared from view.

Standing on the shore of Loch Leven with no wind at all. The lake perfectly mirroring the mountains beyond. It was beautiful.

Or if you mean real life experiences, hmmm... Nothing that awesome, some really intense storms but nothing like the tropical stuff.
