OK, does Fallout really count? EVERYWHERE was attacked, not just America. Same goes for the Resistance series. Also, Fall of Man took place in Britain, you never set foot on American soil. This list is a failure.

It's TURNING into a cliche, certainly. What was surprising about MW2 is that it was essentially the Cold War gone hot, and it was pretty f-ed up. It's also kind of what Turning Point was like, the what if of history that doesn't really exist. I bet a lot of people get a kick out of it due to the fact the US has never been invaded in their home territory in a modern war (say, after the civil war). Homefront is I think the only one that TRIED to get to the player, and actually just managed to make a bit too much pr for an otherwise generic shooter.

What I'm trying to get at, is that America is a young country, and because it's young, it's going through that phase, much like a child, where it thinks everybody is after their stuff.

Give it 500 more years and it will have probably grown out of it by then.

Um, yes, fallout counts, as the Chinese invaded Alaska conventionally and there was a playable section of this in Fallout 3 Operation: Anchorage.

So because one article on the list is questionable because the game took place in Britain (though America was still invaded) the entire list is a failure?
