I am a big time, "America's Got Talent", watcher and tonight I saw three amazing acts that were let off for a pretty boy singer (with slightly off voice) and it's down to a kite-flying young man (going only on a pity vote) and two girls (with both having great voices but terrible harmony) and I just thought... WHY?!?! What are some of your moments when you just couldn't believe what people thought great or when you feel that something was completely and utterly unlikeable that people have voted or liked?

Thank you! But don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the kite flyer but I don't think he would have made it to the very end. I was hoping for Ark Attack or Antonio to both go but sadly, they were not.

Hey, you know, I have an idea: whenever a competitor goes on stage, they have to wear a partial face mask and an opaque shower cap, and they're only unmasked after they either get booted off the show or win. Thus, the winner is decided solely on voice and performance, opposed to looks.

I have a friend who votes for the worst possible candidate on shows like those just to troll. The people he votes for don't usually win, but when they do I shit a brick.

I don't personally watch shows like those, but my friend updates me because his hobby of trolling those shows with terrible votes is amusing.

I don't see why any singers would even make it past the first round. There are millions of good singers out there. I'm betting there are substantially less people that can lift a bowling ball with their dick or something.

You know if they're just going to let a singer win this competition again they should just cancel the show and extend american idol, since not once have they let a talent act win, its always been damn singers.
fighting gravity or ark attack would have been a perfect Vegas show.

Sigh. Yeah. Problem is, they have it mixed up. On a show meant to find talent, they leave the voting up to the viewers. On a show meant to find popularity, they leave it up to the judges. I still think Denver and the Mile-High Orchestra should have won Next Great American Band, but they made the judges like 60% of the vote, and they were biased against them the whole time. Sigh...

America always votes for the singers over the ones with the most talent. It's a sad time to be American.

America got Talent? Well, that's a show not aired in Sweden...

But I can guess the huge crowd of imbeciles voted on the cuties and the ones appearing easy-to-wound got to the finals, and no other reason than that.

... That was sarcasm.
But, yeah, it's a fucking shame when it happens. But I've yet to see it happen in the Swedish "Talang" show. (Talang is simular to America got Talent show. In fact, it's incredibly identical)
