American McGee's Alice

So EA announced today that they are partnering with McGee to bring a new Alice game to PC and consoles this year. While release dates live in a nebulous world that is subject to the whim and fancy of Chance, the mere fact that a sequel is being made to this amazing game is great! Enough of a pleasant surprise that it caused a "SQUEE" of fangirl proportions.

So, anyone else excited? Or indifferent? Or downright belligerent? All opinions welcome. ^_^

I never actually played the original, but everyone tells me it's the kind of thing I would really like and should play. And yet that's what's preventing me from trying it, because I hate when people think they know me enough to tell me what to do. It makes me think they have an edge on me, and I'm constantly paranoid enough already.

If they make a second one, I'll probably check it out. But only if one of YOU don't tell me to first, you creepy punks...

That's good to hear - the original had problems, including bad AI and a slew of jumping puzzles, but for its aesthetic inventiveness was still one of my favourite PC games of the early 'noughties' (I believe it was competing for my time with a hacked, pre-release rom of Pokemon G/S and The Sims when I purchased it. It mostly won.)
