I'm British, and quite proud of the fact. I have a full understanding of our Political system, and a pretty good understanding of the European political system. My knowledge of the american system is quite limited despite lots of research and reading, this is mainly due to the fact I've never lived under it.
I've recently been reading alot of threads relating to this subject and noticed alot of American posters who don't have much time for foreign opinion, so here's your chance for a say
My question to all of you non US citizens is how much/little do you consider American polotics to directly influence you.
Personally I know that American polotics has little effect on us in Britain, though whats happens as a result of the polotics can, America's financial situation has clearly impacted on us. We are reliant on the decisions made by American leaders, take the £350billion payout they gave their banks this had an effect on us as the banks that they bailed out have a direct influence on our economic structure.
Enjoy
