...It...actually passed completely under my radar. no mention, no hints.. just...I never knew it existed.

So I looked it up, and it's -not- like AC4. which is amazing. << I'd totally be into it if it's like AC3.

I picked it up and loved the hell out of it. Only issue is that there were only 3 teams in my state and all of them disbanded before I could join them, all the other teams were just 1 or 2 people in them that I was a higher level than and I refuse to be a follower to someone that is weaker than me. I traded it in a while ago but I may pick it back up and just switch my state to New York or something.

It's above-average and I still enjoyed it, but it's probably one of the weaker games in the series.

I didn't pick it up because it emphasized online too much.
AC 4A was amazing because it was made with single player in mind, but 5 was basically a mech MMO. Concordantly, some things were only completable if you were part of a guild (or whatever they're called) and going in solo just wasn't worth it.

I've had some really good death matches

AC4 was a bit "Zoomy zoomy fun death" where as you have to think with AC5 even if you do spec for close combat high mobility. The game was never over until you were at 0 AP

The problem I had was that with the change in the way damage is applied my AC looked different every time I speced for a mission... Advanced Mobile Skirmisher; Storm Cougar Type Zero was to have only one body configuration! However this damage change did make the game play more fun.

I played AC 4 For Answer to death. AC 5, though, is kinda crap in comparison.
What would make it infinitely better? Fix the damn camera angles. Fix it behind the center of the mech, or to one side, not the rubbish one that flows about at the worst damn times.
The camera feth-up makes it all but unplayable to me. I played a few missions alone and with my friend, but haven't gone back to it since.

I picked it up after a long hiatus from the series. To be honest, I found that the three ammo type to be the most annoying thing ever, as well as having degradable weapons. Another problem to me was the seeming lack of parts available to the player that are actually useful.

The team stuff was really just Bull. I signed on with a team, and not once did they ever get online. The mercenary mechanic really defeated the purpose of a team anyways. The multitude of loading screens was annoying, as well as the paper-thin plot of the game. The game literally just dropped me into a scenario with no knowledge of what was going on.

I've been playing Armored Core games since the late 90's....

I played V for about an hour and then returned it.

(I'm one of those 'fuck multiplayer' types, and the drastic change in the series has left me sour.)
That's exactly what made me decide not to buy it (and the fact that the game was nowhere to be found where I live). I looked at some of the MP trailers and my first thought was: I'm not going to like this.
