It is very dumb, and cannot do anything more than recycle stored behaviour patterns - not construct them itself.

It does however, know the entire pokemon theme song, I'll give it that.

It's retarded as fuck. You ask it if it's gay and it makes a statement about pinapples.

Actually smart AIs aren't free.

Also, this thread's been done at least 5 times now.

It's not smart unless it's self aware. That's my opinion on the subject.
This you can answer as many questions as you want. But being actually sentient and self aware is a whole new step to make.

Cleverbot again?
It's not that smart, it just seems to take human responses from previous similar conversations and put and after a while it seems to lose its memory of your conversation.
At least the last time I've chatted with it.
[sup]Which is about 2 years ago...[/sup]

EDIT: Well, it's seems to have become demented...

It told me "my mom just died" after I said I have great curtains. So that took a quick melancholy turn. I heard someone say it just rotated people online so you are just talking to another person, but never for long enough to actually work it out

It's fun to mess with, my friend even owns the app for it, but it's... unpredictable.

You ask say, a question on astronomy, and it asks what you're talking about.

It's got short term memory, and asking it the same question just around always gets different results.
