They're testing a new Captcha because the older ones kept getting fond of using Greek letters.

To quote the Tech Team.
s Recaptca seems to becoming more fond of Greek, Kanji, and mathmatical formulae, we're going to try using some of the other captchas again, which the provider promises have improved. Like before, half the people on the site will see the Solvemedia captchas, while the others will keep seeing Recaptcha.
From what I've seen so far, the new ones do sometimes include video, though the text provided is at least clear and in English.

There we go, should clear that up.

New captcha?

I've only seen the recaptcha...luckily though I've not encountered the greek letters or the mathimatical formulas...yet xD

That seems to explain it, I was just a bit concerned about having to wait for an ad and Capcha before posting.

Ironically, my capcha always says "The bee's knees"

I rarely get any form of captcha at all, it's quite odd. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it just... isn't.

I never got any of the strange symbols people seem to be getting, mine will all letters.

I conveniently got one of the new ones while replying to this thread.

"Enter the following: guitar player"

Not only is it actually words, but they make sense!
