To come out as a gamer is still to risk looking a social n00b

The noble epitaph of a gamer. We should follow this, because remember kids: screw other people and their opinions, because their opinions aren't yours.

That is to say, for superlative clarity, I do exactly what IdealistCommi does.

Pfft, screw the non gaming noobs. Most people in my grade play games anyhow. It seems like the only people who didn't were the girls. Probably because they weren't the brightest bunch ever. If someone looks down on someone who plays video games for fun, they really are out of date.

People are more surprised than anything when I mention I like games. What, is it that hard to believe?

I proudly speak of my gaming-ness when talking with friends. Everyone who knows me well knows I am a gamer. For people who think it's bad, I have a line from a song for you. *ahem*

For those who understand, I extend my hand. To the doubtful I demand, take me as I am.

Gaming what me and my friends always talk about, usually making fun of it.

I don't care if people think I'm strange for being a gamer, screw them.

I still feel like a massive manchild whenever I tell anyone I'm pursuing a career in games (something I'm beginning to regret, unfortunately.) I just use the blanket term 'Digital Media.'

Outside a few close friends, classmates, and people in the industry I hardly ever talk about games.
