Corbec was okay but...Shockolate said:Gaunt's Ghost's.
I will never forgive Dan Abnett for killing off Corbec.
Sure, I'll read his books. But seriously, fuck you Dan, you Black Library god you.

...was? At least Corbec had some foreshadowing involved. You KNEW what was going down. The spoilered character went out it what amounted to the most pathetic death I think I've ever read.
And besides, good ol' Dan's specifically stated that everyone's going to die sometime. Hell, I can tell you now whats going to happen at the end of the run.
Everyone dies except for Larkin, and the main body of unnamed troops. Their last mission finally secures them 'New Tanith.' The end.
Well, you can't say King didn't warn you. He spent an entire chapter trying to convince you to just put the book down and be done with it.Rylot said:I had a friend semi spoil it for me; didn't tell me exactly what happened, just that it annoyed him. It still pissed me off.Loop Stricken said:But Ka is a wheel. You should've figured out what was gonna happen.Rylot said:To each their own, but...Loop Stricken said:SnipI was okay with killing off Eddie and the kid (jesus it's been awhile since I've read them), I could stomach King writing himself into the story, I could put up with the deus ex machina (more than enough to make the ancient Greek plays blush) But rebooting the story? No, I'm not okay with a story I've invested around 5,000 pages into to just stop in mid senta![]()
Besides, I think its kind of neat...
Roland's THOUSANDS of years of suffering sustains the tower, but we've viewed what is most likely one of the last cycles before the Crimson Kings plans finally fall apart.
