Agreed. I think the Wii isn't going to get a price cut just yet. The PS3 shouldn't get a price cut because they will make even more of a loss on that console, despite the fact that it would boost the attatch rate and hardware sales.
The Wii won't get a price cut, because it doesn't need a price cut in the eyes of Nintendo. It would get quite a few sales no doubt, but those same sales could probably still be captured when Nintendo's success is waning somewhat.
And the 360? It has cheaper models, and to be honest, it doesn't truly need it. It has a powerful third party line-up, that alone has been selling the console constantly since 05.
As for Pachter, I did hold some contempt for him before, but after listening to him in interviews and gaming discussions, he's not entirely bad. He does sound like he knows what he's talking about in a sense, but obviously says quite a lot of crap, which then get's posted on sites and looks like it's all he says.
