I imagine all sorts of parents that will misunderstand their child's wish for a Wii-U and purchase the cheaper Wii at their local Wal-Mart.

That's a give-in. A hilarious one too! I wish I could be there to see all of the angry/disappointed children who open up their brand new Wii and start to cry (I may be a terrible person)

I've already decided to buy my U during a midnight release (assuming my local retailer does one) but I know my one is nothing compared to what Nintendo wants to sell. I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore gamer though since I'll likely just buy the Wii-U and try playing Last Story or, Xenosaga with the Wii-U classic controller and get frustrated when it doesn't work.
