Wait, are there only 10 mil Xbox Live users or is that just the amount that use Netflix?

As for his prediction: Who the fuck cares? If you look at the upcoming games and possible pricedrop I do get what he is talking about though.

Considering Microsoft will have dropped the 360 in favour of the next Xbox by then, this is hardly surprising. 2015 is a pretty conservative estimate considering the 360 will probably stop selling in 2013 or 2014 - but then it's Michael Pachter, who either plays it so safe his predictions are worthless to anyone with half a functioning brain, or so bizarrely incorrect that I consider Pachter to be a highly-paid, professional troll.
That Wedbush Morgan keep signing his paychecks astounds me.

Funny how the Wii is the most hated and best selling all at the same time. Impressive.

I smite this article with my eyebrow of skepticism!

Anyway, I highly doubt that this will happen. I don't doubt that PS3 sales will significantly increase though.

Lol I am sorry but by then the next next gen should be out. So Sony plans on not screwing it up next time? Or are they planning by then everyone will already have a 360 and have finally saved enough for a PS3?

I just painted a huge target on my back didn't I?
*throws a cookie at your large, obscure target*

Are these the same analysts that predicted the PS3 price drop? Doesn't seem many analysts have been spot on in predicting where Sony stands in the video game world nowadays.

Isn't this a complete contradiction from what Patcher said previously, the man's a joke and I doubt anyone takes anything he says literally - especially after the "PSP Go" incident...

Why is everyone talking about a new console?
What practical and relevant improvements could be made?
Graphics have peaked to an idiotic level, the processor power has gotten to "I would need this why?", much of the software industry has been pushing itself to fiscal heart attack in an attempt to stay on cutting edge (often relating to slight increases in graphics.), and much of the consumer base has stopped caring.

I must wonder, this seems more like bad news for Sony than good news. Especially when you consider how much money Microsoft will have made from Xbox Live accounts in the mean time.

Won't the next generation of consoles be out by 2015?
Yes, this will be a case of PS2 passing the torch to PS3 in console longevity
But the main reason that the PS2 has achieved such longevity is that so many people own it, companies can still release games and have a good chance of making a decent profit. It was also quite cheap.

THE Wii IS LAST GEN.
get over it.
BUT there aren't many good PS3 exclusives anyway, so too bad.
I think the analyst is wrong for those two reasons.
