I keep on getting a message on my MyTouch 4G that says that android.process.acore has stopped working when I open my contacts for some reason. I tried factory restoring my cell phone, but it ended up only being a temporary fix (and, by temporary, it only lasted 10 minutes). Does anyone have any suggestions?, or am I screwed as far as my contacts list goes?

If you link your contacts to a google account, couldn't you ensure that they are saved onto that, so you don't lose everything?

Your contacts should be synced to google account anyway.

If you have facebook installed, uninstall it. See if your contacts work

Settings->Applications->System Applications->Contacts Sync Adapter and press Clear Data, this error usually goes away.

If this doesn't work, try clearing the data on

Settings->Applications->System Applications->Contacts or Settings->Applications->System Applications->Contacts Storage.

If that fixed the problem restore contacts and reinstall facebook and don't sync contacts with facebook.

It could be a bad backup. After a system restore you could try looking for a contact with no name but with information.
