Seriously... Motion controls are pretty much gimmicky junk, but on top of all that, this one costs about triple what the PS3's does, and only slightly less than buying a Wii, while having to buy the 360 separately.

Japan has never seemed that interested in anything related to the XBOX anyway, so it just seems natural to me that they would not go for it.

The major problem is that noboby in Japan has 360's because it is a western console that doesn't have many games that generally sell in Japan. The PS3 has Final Fantacy 13 and the like, and it is made by a Japanese company, so it is only selling 4 times the Move because there about 4 times as many PS3's in Japan.

of course they're not gonna buy it, they're probably sick with the Wii and motion control by now. Besides, that's Nintendo's turf, and the xbox just isn't made for asian cultures.

The 360 is doing awfully in Japan. They are far behind the PS3 (by about 4:1), and even further behind the Wii (about 10:1)

Part of the success of Sony and Nintendo in Japan could have to do with the fact that they're both Japanese companies (dur). The Japanese look out for their people first and foremost, then everyone else. Ever seen their online store? tons of PS1 classics on that, North America has crap all in comparison.

I don't believe that all Japanese hate everything foreign. They are just picky about what they like. If you look at Amazon Japan, it seems like the Kinect is in their best seller list at No.11 and Move around a 100 (last I look). Check out their comments as well (translated of course).
