I have just gotten off of my Xbox for the night and had just had the craziest experience on Xbox Ever!

I have been feelin low for such a long time, I was beginning to forget what actual happiness was like (not the smiles and laughter I pretend so I can please my friends) then I put in my Fallout 3 and begin playin and then I get a party invite from some dude (I can't remember his gamer tag and I spent a hour ramming my head against the wall to remember but I can?t  ) and I accepted cuz well cuz I was tired, lonely and its hard to fall asleep when talkin to someone.

His first words have been burnt into my memory "How you doin? And don't give me the line of crap you tell everyone else, ?Alright? my ass!"

I don't know who he is or where he came from but he could have helped me get my foot out of the grave and back on to soil (shaky soil but still I might do fine from here on out)
But what I want to know who he is and how did he know I was in need of help?

Any thoughts? Ideas where he came from knew my case and story? Related experiences? Is my Xbox guardian angel out there reading this?

I... actually had to help someone like that before. I ain't gonna divulge what he said to me, but i don't think it was you, mostly because it happened like 6 months ago. And also i was playing Guitar Hero 2 at that time. >>;;;

I usually hate it when people want to talk to me over the microphone. I dunno why.

It's good to know that there are still some decent people on xbox live.
I haven't met any recently though. Although there are a few I know. :)

I have a friend who's more like a dark angel.
Dude makes you feel awesome by mocking everyone and everything else in existence and you love him for it. It's hard to explain.

If you met this guy recently, his name might still be listed on your Xbox. Press the big Xbox button to bring up the menu, go to Friends and then across two to Players - those are the last 50 people you met on Xbox Live.

Wow, awesome
I don't have fallout 3 myself, but I usually find myself on the opposite end of the O(riginal)P(oster), and I usually like to think i make people feel better. It's hard when i've been...i dunno, not down but... i got no idea how to describe it. Yay for not making sense.

If you got a party invite from someone, the invite should still be in your inbox, along with their gamertag.

Long live the Internet! This is true of me as well, though I tend to attract strange company...

An interesting story. Random invites can lead to good things, though, more often than not it's just someone who wants to brag about the number of friends they have on their list, who never contacts you again. It's like finding a Mars bar wrapper on the ground and discovering it's one of those ones that gives you a free bar. It's just nice luck to have. No rules can really be applied to the event. I do wish you luck finding the person again, though.

Its generally Australian. In my experience,Americans dont want to socialise in a game. They just want to shit on you. While Australians would say hi, how are you doing etc. To know people.
I'd agree with that, but you are an Aussie like I am. And we should know better than to make fun of how prideful Americans are while talking ourselves up so much. If someone from outside our country says that, it might just be true. But I can't help remembering how many people treat each other terribly on Aussie Counter Strike and Half Life 2 Deathmatch servers. You do get nice people, but it's probably not enough for sensitive types to like it.

Exactly my sentiments, there are some bloody awesome people on the internet. And XBL is no exception. There has to be at least one server somewhere where you don't have whiny 12-year-olds screaming LOLZORZ and trying to 'frag the n00bs', after all...

I think that's pretty bloody impressive that you found someone who wasn't scum on Xbox live, seriously the odds of what happened to you happening again must surely be one in a million.

Oh wait, yeah, that.
