Painkiller. (I've just noticed that the title works on so many levels). As Yahtzee said: "...the best way to blow off steam is to blow of someones nadgers."

I find it easy to vent any and all pent up rage when playing this because you can just walk into an area with a shed load of guns and ammunition and kill anything that dares to look at you. Its nice and simple and in in its own blood-thirsty and brutal way very relaxing.

Failing that I'll just play a few custom battles in Medieval 2: Total war and decimate small armies through weight of numbers - and of course there are never any survivors.

Peasants vs Knights is always fun.
Or Peasants vs. Cannons.

Yeah, I do enjoy charging a phalanx of heavy cavalry into a mob of cowering peasants. There just nothing quite like it. Its like 10 pin bowling.

I don't play any specific games when i'm pissed off.
In fact I'm more likely just to play some guitar. (ACTUAL GUITAR)

But I can't deny that going into Underworld and blasting everyones faces off with the Terrible shotgun while they scream and run away has a charming quality about it.

Whats your favorite game to play when your pissed off?
For me it's Viking: Battle For Asgard, it's just so visceral.

GTA4 usually.

Sure it's overrated but I live in NYC so if I come home after being crammed into a subway car for an hour with some of the most vile smelling people in Queens, it's very cathartic to go to a subway platform in the game with my shotgun and grenades and just terrorize everyone there. My wife commutes by car so I know that if some pants C_____e livery/yellow cab driver who drives the same cab as the rest of the family (and probably isn't insured) hits you and drives off, it's also very cathartic to drive around in a garbage truck dropping cooked grenades on every cab you find, then calling Roman and blowing up whoever he sends.

So sure it's not the best game but it's what we usually use for it's familiar setting and endless victims. Though Prototype will probably replace it.
