Oh great, a castle crushers ripoff with birds makes a gravitee ripoff with birds. And somehow it'll make millions. Life's fair.

I'm annoyed at people who are annoyed at people who are annoyed at Angry Birds' success.

Sure it's a fun game, and it's well polished, but it's also overhyped to the point of absurdity.
I think it's okay to be annoyed at the success of a game that's a clear ripoff of countless other, better games which get almost no recognition. "Down with Angry Birds" I say.

So now that Rovio's made Angry Birds in space, following Ashen's model, does that mean that we'll be seeing Angry Birds Through Time?

You better trademark that before Rovio get to it.

I've never played angry birds, and I have no inclination to do so.

That said, it's nice to see a mainstream game get updated with something new from release to release.

I enjoy many types of games, from fighting games to first/ third person shooters - and I must admit this game is good.

Its challenging but rewarding. The physics work well and there is variety to gameplay. So stop hating because it's successful. If you don't like it because its not a game for you thats fine, everyone has an opinion but just because it is well loved should not give justification for wanting the franchise to die.

Rant over.

Right, because Crush the Castle totally invented the genre (it didn't) and Angry Birds hasn't done anything to expand itself to become the more enhanced title. (it has)

That kind of attitude is like looking at the latest big FPS title and saying it just ripped off Doom and it's now making millions.

It's not an issue of who does it first, it's an issue of who does it best (and that usually applies to anything, not just games)

Anyway, related to the topic. I think this is pretty cool news. I was playing through Angry Birds Space and I have to agree that it's the best they've done so far. Seasons and Rio were both kinda letdowns because they weren't really giving us much new to play with. Those were more just extra titles for people who wanted some more levels (which was still nice) Space does a good job with the physics and the puzzles.

Probably my only complaint is the absence of the White, Green, and Orange birds. Where the heck are they?
I'm guessing they'll come along in later level packs. I think they wanted to start off simple and introduce us to the Ice Bird first.

I am waiting for the White bird though, I think its abilities with the gravity physics could work out in very interesting ways.

Great news. I really do hope all the best for them.

Angry Birds, our primary software export.
