Have you ever had a funny or bizare animal encounter, or found an animal in a strange place. Now I don't just mean pets, but wild animals like skunks, coyotes, raccoons, opossums, etc.

For me there has been a grey fox that has lived under my house since it was a pup. I find it odd to still be there, just saw it outside an hour ago, given that I live on quite a busy street. It user to stalk me when I would go to school in the morning then run away when I would see it. It also waits for me to feed my outdoor cats and doesn't attack the cats either.

I encountered a red fox before near my street.. but when I tried to pet it (this was long ago), it scratched my middle finger, which I always have a scar due to that fox.
Well you got very close to it. Even though it has lived under my house for a year, the gray fox still runs. I do remember another animal encounter though; my outdoor cat Sandy led a full grown raccoon into the house and showed it to my mom. She flipped out and we have no idea how Sandy snuck a raccoon into the house.

i was camping under a bridge in the middle of freakin' nowhere one night and a mountain lion came sniffing around, eventually going to sleep next to my tent. i didn't move a muscle that whole night, but i did eventually fall asleep too. it was gone in the morning.

I live in Australia....

I share my room with a flying spider.
My yard is full of snakes.
I have picked a fight, and lost, with a kangaroo. (I was young ok)
Dragons like to chase me through the parklands.

I can keep going all day...

I was in a cage with a pack of wolves once. Sounds terrifying when I say it like that, but it was really cool. I wouldn't say they were tame by any means (since they are still wild animals), but they were very familiar with people. It was pretty awesome, actually.

As for animals actually in the wild, my dad and I were driving down the street one day and saw some people trying to get a large snapping turtle off the street. Thing was nearly as big as a serving platter. We were all a bit worried since it was very aggressive. In the end, my dad got a wooden stake from a nearby field and got it to latch on. Then he just dragged it back across the street.

I went hunting an top of a mountain for black bear and once I got him we had to slide him down the mountain and follow like so.....ended up accidentally kicked a family friend in the nuts going 15 mph.....the 15 other friends we where hunting with had a good laugh. (we own a small cabin and all sleep there) The animal encounter itself was not that funny...but those 3 days in the mountains created lulz. (p.s the bear was 400 pounds...not that im bragging....)

though I never actually encountered the animal... I did come across a little podunk road in the middle of nowhere with a "llama crossing" sign. already was in tears laughing at the absurdity, would have died if I had actually seen one.

other than that, um... I was kayaking in north florida and a HUGE bald eagle and darn big osprey (I think... it was big too) collided in midair!! right above me!! like... straight up 90degrees over my head! guess the osprey was after momma's eggs... either way, it sounded like 2 trucks colliding. I never knew they were so big! last time I want to be that close to either of those birds!

OH OH!!! and wild turkeys next to the road. I mean... I know they exist and all in the wild, but man, it's so weird to see them outside... you know... of the grocery store...

I was once fishing in a lake in Minnesota and got huge pull on the rod. I fought it for almost 40 min, pulling and pulling, my friend belittling me until min 20 when we saw the line move in the water, and the rest started taking bets on how big it was (or how weak i was) until when i got it close to the boat. know what it was? 35lbs turtle. it was HUGE. the rod nearly snapped, and we had to use 3 nets to get a grab on it, pulled it into the boat, and i now have its skull as a trophy. jerk took way to much time for us to just let it go, so we had some good eatin.

I was thinking of a worse kind of encounter. Thankfully it isn't the kind I was thinking.
I would say ... none they all run all of them. I can't even own pets thanks to this even the fish in the fish tank jump out to get way from me.

Man I would have that as a pet can't run that fast.

I've always wanted a ferret, but they are illegal to owns as pets in my state. I have read that they take anything that might be of interest and hide it. At least you got your stuff back. My friend in another state has two ferrets and she says her's won't give back her stuff without a fight.
