Animated Avatar

i have a new avatar i want to use but its animated, i dont know how to get it to work on this site, plz help

If I'm correct, you'll have to re-size the image(75x75 I believe) and make sure its a .gif file.

nah the image fits but it just wont be all animated n stuff

Well make sure its a .gif file then. Again I'm not an expert on this, and I'm sure someone who is familiar with this would help more.

You have to make ABSOLUTELY SURE it is no bigger than 75x75.
If the image is even one pixel larger, it won't move.

Make sure it's saved as a gif (I'm assuing you edited it down to size) by using your photo editor to select 'save as' and either writing .gif at the end or by selecting gif image under 'select file type'.

If that doesn't work then check the file size, as the file itself needs to be under 100KB in size.

If that doesn't work contact the Tech Team [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Tech-Team] about it.

Should work. Gif, 75 by 75. The other guy probably already beat me to it, but just in case...

It doesn't look as good, because the original was wider than it was tall, and now it has to be a square.

It doesn't look as good, because the original was wider than it was tall, and now it has to be a square.

No problem, I'd rather have the smaller one that's in proportion than the big square one. It turned out great.

ok so i opened photoshop what now?? (and thanks for helping me with this)

go to the "Image" toolbar and scroll down to "Image Size" from there you should see a prompt asking you to change the size of the whole image. In that prompt you can enter 75 x 75. Once that's done click ok and you should be all good.
