I watched the first two episodes and i have to say you liked it a lot more than i did.

The intro was very stylish indeed, immediately reminded me of cowboy bebop. I loved the setting, and felt the series had a lot to offer. A few things however completely turned me off

Isaac and Miria were a complete flop to me compared to what I hoped they could be. Comedy wise they fail to deliver and voice wise Miria sounds 13 years old.

The series has this weird japanese touch to it, weird humor not everyone will like and really weird naming; "the flying pussyfoot" ? seriously??

What sealed the deal for me was this dude called jacuzzi, he is your extremely shy male adolescent loser type they like to throw around in media, perhaps so they give the audience someone they can relate to *cough*Vaan*cough*

I have very little (at the moment) to say about Baccano, but I hope my Avatar does all the talking for me.

loved Baccano! Great story, took a bit of a beat around the bush approach to the storyline, so unless you were paying attention, you could get 6 or 7 episodes in without realizing entirely what just happened. Good development of characters, and pleasing actions sequences made this one of my favorite animes. Only complaint is the shortness forced them to wrap a couple things up a little quickly and forced, but left just enough sidebars open to let your imagination continue after the last credit rolled.

I watched this anime some time ago, and while it was a little too violent for my usual tastes, I found the story to be extremely compelling and well paced.

I think that your review was very well written and summed up everything nicely.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a anime which differs from the usual formula.

EDIT: I apologise, having commented on this anime review at a much earlier date I went and commented again. The new format confused me and I ended up ninjaring myself. Vast vast vast apologies for my stupidity

To be honest, I hate baccano. It is one of the most disgusting and brutal anime series out there and I do not think that it should be continued to air as it is now. Whether you want to believe it or not, anime is still crowded mostly by those under 15 years of age and if they start growing watching brutal animes like these, they are going to get turned into psychopaths and sadists. Period!

i don't watch a lot of anime, but I was pretty surprised by this.

I liked...but man, it was too violent to stomach a points. It was very well written but sometimes it felt like it was a little...overkill? I dunno...
