So folks, September is approaching which means that pretty soon, Atlanta will be once again playing host to one of the biggest Anime Conventions in the South. I plan on attending again (last year was my first year) and was just wondering if any other Americans (or hey maybe even some of our foreign friends) plan to attend this year. If so are you going to dress up or anything? I am working on a costume of Susaku Kururugi from Code Geass, his Knights of the Round uniform from season 2 (Yes I feel like a huge nerd for cosplaying) But hey it looks really fun from what I saw last year. So does anyone plan to attend? Or can we possibly persuade some folks to go and get an Escapist group going?

Are you talking about DragonCon? That is not an Anime convention, it is a general Sci-Fi convention. Anything and everything Sci-Fi will be there. It is the largest convention on the eastern seaboard and in the country, it is only beaten out by ComicCon. And yes, I will be there. My wife and I have one for the past 4 years. It is great. You can do some great people watching there.

Ah no in fact DragonCon is held pretty much withing 2 weeks of AWA and is also based in Atlanta. I would have given it a go as well, its just I've got that whole poor college student budget going so I have to go with only AWA. But hey if your in the area and like Anime, take a look into it. Its rather fun.

I be going with my Girlfriend, I currently go to GSU (Georgia State University) so won't be much more than a MARTA ride for me. Plan to dress like Pedo Bear wif stickers for all the school gurl cosplayers(NOT a loli btw) not sure what she's going as though...

*reanimates the dead*
For anyone that's going or wants to go(the few on here who would)online registration ends on the 6th. I'll be going with my gal and a few of her friends (By the way, I'm a con cherry. And yes I shall be putting a red V on my forehead.)

My costume kinda fell through when I went out to buy supplies and noticed that college books and transportation fees alone had raped my wallet.

I might be rolling through if I can manage to get some of the money with a friend of mine. He invited me to go, and this will be my first convention.
