I just read a blog about someone's trouble with some of the different types of customers that he encounters at work, which I thought would be a good idea for a topic on here to see if anyone else has any stories or grievances that they have (if you are in the service industry, ie. grocery stores, movie/game stores, restaurtants..)

Mine would be, that at the moment, I basically work as a cart pusher or whatever you want to all it, at my local grocery store, and it irritates me to know end, that right at or during a rain storm, people will come up to me and complain or ask "If I have any dry ones"...I really just want to say to them, "Why yes, I do, I have a magical shield that surrounds me and protects all the carts from rain while I push them inside"...gah x-x

I work at the movie theater, where we have the prices of everything on a large sign about five feet behind us, and there are still retards who ask me how much a large drink costs.

I work in a game shop, so old people. Not all of them, but they just don't have a dmaned clue what they're on about.

"What do you mean? ... Oh, so an Intendo won't do wii-box 3?"

*shudder* always calling it frickin' Intendo. There's an N there! Honestly!

I used to work at a pharmacy, and we had a policy where if the item rung up incorrectly the item would be free.

However... we had an awesomely inelegant customer who took a 3 for 99 cent candy bar sale tag and put it on the spot for a $120 dental care thing.
I saw him do this, we had him on camera too, and he outright demanded that he got that price.
I told him that it was blatantly incorrect as the sale tag said it was for snickers, I also said that I noticed him putting the tag there since he was the only customer in the store at the time.
He started yelling and threw some magazines we had on the counter on the floor, at this point I told him to leave.
He stormed out of the store and then got on his phone.

7 mins later the police show up asking to speak with the manager, I was in charge at the time and they said that the man reported I stole from him just at the moment the man came charging in yelling that I stole $400 from him.

I tell the officers what transpired and even showed them the video of what happened.

The officers then give the man a ticket for wasting their time and I in front of the officers tell the man he is no longer welcome in the store and he marches off, punches the door, gets into his car and backs up into another car, and drives off.
The officers run out, get into the squad car, pull him over, and book him on misdemeanor hit and run.

By far, the funniest thing that has ever happened to me at work.
