My sister was all at home today, and has once again shifted personalitys from a hoodrat to an emogoth contemplation. Now she's being annoying and calling life pointless.Just because she did nothing on valentines day,so I figured that the escapist could do her one worse than "One day we'll all die."

how about the mountain of historical evidence that suggests mankind is a savage, brutal race ruled by fear and greed?

No,That would just add to her point.I meant something liiike...Everyday you go out and try to seduce some guy,but those love handles-no,those love gloves make them run.Hit her,not why she's living. Nothing about how she works though, she'll go back to hippiedom.

Still,If I told her that to make her an emo,it would work :D

Also,If this was from our points of view,i'd just tell her "Once you die,all your online accounts remain, living forever, and take up space on the internet, making you A WASTE TO KEEPING THE WORLD ALIVE.YOUR BLOCKING THE INTERNET!!! *Ragefaec*

I just came from a thread about a device that lets dogs use twitter. That alone says so much about what the world has become.

Not on topic but I gotta admire your dedication to mentioning the bass in every comment.

On topic however, worse than everyone eventually dieing is the fact that she will most likely be forgotten by history on a planet that will itself die some day.

my usual motivation for the day is "You will die tonight"
I tell myself this to motivate me to do something constructive and important.

since she is being like this because of the whole 'valentine's day' thing, she'll likely get over it quickly.

in a nutshell life is fairly pointless since humanity itself is a speck of dirt in the timeline of the universe but let's not tell her that...

You didnt do anything on valentines day, and got all depressed and moody... maybe if you didnt get depressed and moody maybe people would want to do stuff with you.

Otherwise i really dont know what you are really trying to get at. Are you trying to make her feel like crap or something? Or make her feel better?

When you party, you get a hang-over.
When you buy something, you have to pay.
Your parents take you somewhere nice for the holidays, your parents start fighting there and it's all crap.
You're having fun, you're postponing your homework.

It doesn't matter what you do, in the end your life will be exactly as painful as everyone else's.

"One day we'll all die" 8P 8D-tesseract! Like that was the blanking end of it.

We'll be reborn again and again and again, forced to live through it repEatEDLY TILL THE END OF TIME!
"So it'll be alright then, when the end of time comes along." There is no end of time!
"Well, we'll get used to it, just lowering our standards I guess."
http://500finance.net/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/6c1f9_donkey-carrot.jpg

The donkey's you're standard and the carrot is the pain. You'll never catch up with it and struggling is futile.
- Well sure, as the amount of physical pain is directly proportional to the signal frequency from your nerves, there is an actual limit to how much something can hurt (the carrot stops but the donkey doesn't). But your standards are reseted once you're reborn and then there's always your emotions, 'mental pain' if you will.

No *sigh*, the only way out is to laugh and cry simultaneously... JUST KIDDING

Keep em coming, we're farmin some free-range truth here

Tell her that her life is a completly random occurence and that she will probably stay on this ball of spinning rock for 70-80 years before dying and then being forgoten by everyone within another 10, and in the time she is here she will never make any sort of improvment or mark on this world. That depressing enough?

I know something. People want to be remembered in history right? They want to be known worldwide after they die?

Why does it matter? You're going to be dead. You can't enjoy being famous, or a big person in history, YOU'RE DEAD!

Yup, those are good examples

-Society conforms to the media, and the media can be bought.

-History can innacurately be rewritten to benifit the power hungry.

-We don't communicate with God, so we don't know anything about the afterlife but that which other humans tell us to believe.

-You are what you remember, we forget as we age.

*Stretches arms* This is going to be a lengthy one.

Really? Well, fuck! 'Life is pointless.' That line always pissed me off when it's been used over incredibly stupid things.

Animals are skinned alive, people are forsaken rights simply because they're different, people are killed over ethnicity, people are killed over beliefs, billions of animals die a day to feed some guy that's already fat, in a daily basis we live in a paradox of routine where we get a house to get a job to get a car to pay for the car and the house to get to the job, people are tortured, people are mutilated, people are raped, animals are beaten, people are beaten, people die for absolutely no reason, animals die for no reason -

All of this is on just one planet amongst only one star. There are millions of stars out there and amongst them trillions of planets. For all we know anything we do that impacts our planet impacts nothing else amongst the millions of stars and trillions of planets...

And yet some reason, amongst all that, amongst everything in everything...it's the fact she didn't get to do anything on valentines day that makes life utterly pointless? As the great man George Carlin once said...

'GET FUCKIN' REAL.'

If you wanna know something that's more depressing then doing nothing on valentines day it's simply knowing of all the terrible things that go on in this world alone and having to deal with people whine over there own selfish problems - which I'll feel partially sympathetic for until they bring up the line 'Life is pointless.' Or expand the situation far bigger then it really is.

Aside from that I guess I'll share things that Depress and annoying the hell out of me - this'll be a good bit of stress relief since it's not too often I get to whine about it and be granted an excuse :)

Annoying Things -

Ted Nugent, Seal Hunting, Pro Capitalists, People that hunt for a sport and not for survival, morons that consider Socialism Communism, Fur Farmers, red necks, Anti - Drug drunkards. Pro - Life, Peta, The Queen, homophobes, racists, people that text endlessly on cell phones.

Each and every one of these things piss me off. Just mentioning these things makes me want to strangle some one, soooo I'm feeling mightily pissed having to actually throw them all in one. To balance out the current rage lets think of...

Depressing things -

Humanity, Death...

Regretfully, these are the only two things that depress me. I guess I'll explain them though. Death is simplistic - it's something we all go through obviously and it's something I don't want to be a part of. It's easy to think life pointless when anything you acquire is lost after death, and it's easier to say it's unfair.

Eventually we'll all be dead, and I'm quite sure no one - not even her self - in the long run will give two fucks about that valentines day. Eventually she'll admit it was stupid and I'll continue to feel superior x3.

Humanity -

All the things that annoy me are clearly on the Republican side of politics, so you can guess that I'm pretty much a liberal. It always make me angry when people would say humans were superior over animals.

Yes, it's easy to assume that, we've got buildings...but this was always my argument -

Humans cannot live without other species, but other species can live without humans. It basically means we need other animals to survive but other animals don't need us - there's not a single animal that needs us.

Perhaps my logic is flawed, but give me a break. It's Six A.M in the bloody morning.

Aside from that I can't quite think of anything that annoys/depresses me for the time being...

And yet... and yet. Look at all that we, as a species, have accomplished. Look at our sciences, our arts, look at what we have learned and created and developed. We're sending ourselves off the surface of our planet, we're cracking the secrets of the Universe.

You're right, mankind is all those things you mentioned. We can see that daily. But I take heart from how often we are able to transcend our base drives and tendencies.
